my company headquarters is in Carmel, and our meteorologist says he expects the low end of 6-12" in that area. he thinks the local weather guys are wrong. laugh out loud

Made it home safely with a border run pit stop. Roads weren't bad but the blowing wind reduced visibility to less than a quarter-mile.

none of our offices close either, we have traders on shift 24/7 and they have to be there. they just send all "non-essential" personnel home...which is like 95% of that office laugh out loud

My office never closes for weather either. Only if some local government office closes, and so far, I haven't seen it happen.

We did close once when the building caught fire and lost power though, and even then they waited as long as they could to let people know. It's not like we do anything critical here that will be sorely missed if we are closed a day. Annoyed

My complaints for now:
-It's snowing. A lot. Pretty, but I hate how the roads get so scary.
-I lost a nice leather glove over the weekend. Luckily I found the exact same ones on sale at Tanga though.
-I have to work ten hour days this week, and I'm already exhausted today. Drinking an energy drink at the moment, and I don't even have my 8 hours in yet Facepalm

Nothing awful or anything, but man, I am so sleepy! Yawn

DW, DD, and I were leaving a mall. Light just turned green and I was in front of the line. I start to go, then look to my left and see a car that is definitely going to run the red light. I slam on my brakes and barely miss getting hit by the red light runner. He was yapping on his cell phone while driving.

If I hadn't looked, I'd probably be dead now.
