Also, in relation to Llama's Lament (which should be a band or a song or something):

Very nice Thumbup

Yes, it was a day off. Friday as well.

Gosh, you know, I've no idea what that's like.

Morbid curiosity?

IMO, the short version is "no, things have become more polarized", but there's a longer form explanation that involves a less homogenized culture than in past decade and other details. As someone capable of seeing the shades of grey, it's difficult to understand how other people can't see them, but the black and white viewers have the same perspective, I think. Example, the infamous blue & gold dress.

Farking idiots asked for data mapping information a few weeks ago. I spent hours filling out two rather large spreadsheets, and passed it back to the requesting management individual. Find out later my predecessor participated in this same dog-and-pony show a year prior, and here's the results from that particular request. So this week, I get invited to online meetings every day to fill out what? You guessed it, the same damned spreadsheets, plus more of them.

Facepalm
This particular pain I know very well. Nothing I enjoy more than hours of data mapping sessions with people who clearly have no understanding of what it is we're actually accomplishing.

Hello my buddy
Wave

I'd once had notions that I'd socialize yesterday, but ended up scrubbing some various floors and surfaces and reorganizing/cleaning my walk-in closet.
Also over the course of the weekend changed the oil in the Subaru (while tutoring PG on the process), replaced the speedometer cable in the Miata, and helped her lube the window tracks in her car to address the issue with extremely difficult rolling up/down of the window before the cables broke. Now she can roll it up and down with one hand again!

I just finished speaking with a group lead here who was out-of-town attending gap analysis meetings. He observed the same ignorance and incompetence from the attendees. "Here's what I said, here's what we discussed, and here's an identified gap. Have you got it?" Nope, they didn't get it. Every. Single. Time.

The new normal is simply "Shaking My Head" (SMH) apparently. shake head

I swear we have meetings about meetings about the meeting we are going to have and the goal is to set up a meeting at that meeting...

I'm entertaining and got some Fresh chicken wings at Costco with their Tuscan seasoning blend which is Garlic, bell peppers, Rosemary, basil, Oregono and lemon

I'm thinking of frying or baking them
Should I toss in a sauce or serve one alongside and any suggestions?

Baked on a wire rack so they drain. And served with a generous portion of sauce as a side, so each person can enjoy as much or as little sauce as they like.

Well... I had originally meant to cut up the fallen trees, but that didn't end up happening laugh out loud
I am happy I finished setting up the stereo in the bedroom though, those vintage Sansui speakers hooked up as the A set, my old Sony bookshelf units as B, but I'm usually playing both of them at the same time. It kept me entertained while I did my closet work.

Indeed, literally just had that discussion with my director, "I can't believe anything ever gets done anywhere".

How large of a freezer do you have?
IDK, but it can hold 3 or 4 deer, 10 turkeys, and 2 pigs. Got it for 50 bucks from my neighbor when he moved back to Seattle.
