My Seagull Artist Mosaic guitar arrived last night. I'm quite enjoying it so far, it's my first all solid wood guitar, and my first mahogany guitar as well (cedar soundboard, mahogany back and sides). I've wanted a mahogany one for some time (well, I was pretty sure I did, but had never played one extensively). The sound is definitely to my liking, and deepens my conviction about getting a mahogany mandolin from Big Muddy in the future.

The old masters knew a thing or two about some fine wood grains and textures developing and carrying a sound, didn't they? Isn't it just convenient how beautiful are those same woods?
