Wow...well, you have had much better luck than I on the blogs. Maybe I just need to dig more, but most of the blog giveaways I see lately have as many or more entries as the big national sweeps, and they take 10x longer to do. I think the final straw for me was when I stumbled across a 4-hour "flash" giveaway, noticed I was in the time window and figured I would go ahead and enter with pretty decent odds. Wrong...3 hours in and there were already more than 500 people entered, and the single prize was a $25 Target GC. I think some folks must set up text alerts, or just scan for these things all day, so sort of seemed not worth it to me anymore. I can do 10-15 normal daily sweeps in the time I can do one blog. But congrats to you on finding the good ones and actually winning!

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. Either way, using Roboform & Chrome autofill doesn't seem to have DQd me from any sweeps, since I've had plenty of wins. I still feel that the rules against automated entry have more to do with services/software that automatically enter for you.....those I stay away from.

Thanks! Yeah, a lot are really competitive or require a lot of work. My favorite is finding a new or off-topic blog with comment style entry like "I want that iPhone!" on Engadget. Only Engadget's iPhone 5 giveaway for this week has over 18000 entries. I also have a hard time finding them and often find out too late when they're already over. Like this one with only 30 entries that ended beginning of the month:

LOL - no, it doesn't. I LOVE my Samsung Galaxy S3. I suspect that it just isn't a well followed blog yet. And if anything was a deterrent, I suspect AT&T as the carrier was the issue, not Android. Also keep in mind that the phone they were giving away (HTC One X) can be commonly had for $99 on new contract pricing so maybe not the most sought after.

I have done some blog ones in the past, but most of the ones using rafflecopter have a ton of entries and even if you max them out your odds aren't really that much better than traditional sweepstakes.

To keep this on track, I won a shotgun/rifle case (ARV $156) from the Dodge Ram facebook game yesterday. Smilie

Kinda funny because no one I knows hunts so it's going to be CL'sted, I was trying for the flashlight for hubby for Christmas Smilie

I've gotten pms on this and to be honest the really good ones take some digging. If you're starting out, I'd say spend some time on twitter to find out who the big bloggers are and how smaller blogs are attempting to network with them (go with the small ones when everyone else is entering the big ones).

On the other side, if there's a big corporate push or promotion, you'll pick up on it and your chances are increased because dozens of blogs will be featuring it. Chances are pretty good if say 50 blogs have a week long giveaway for $50 gc with 50 entries on average. Google "mobile safety $50" or "flatout bread $50" as examples.

But, like I said the really good ones take more work. I don't know if posting these are such a good idea. As an experiment let's try this. There's a $30 gc for wine that started 3 days ago. Currently has 8 people entered with 37 entries (you can get around 6 entries each today by liking and tweeting and +1 until it ends in 4 days). I'll delete if this isn't allowed, but it'd be fun to have an SD invasion and one of you win! Smilie

I won a mini fridge from Coors Light on July 16 and I'm still waiting, this is becoming an unusually long wait. Anyone else still waiting for that? I also won 2 gift cards from Skoal in August and I haven't received that yet either.
I'm not sure at what point I should start worrying that they forgot me and start calling/emailling them.

I haven't won on either of those contests, but I would recommend reading the official rules again for some clues on fulfillment. Some don't end for several months & then state they have 8-12 weeks from the end of the contest.
I won a dvd from a contest that had ended three months before I even got the notification that I won. I've also won a gift card that I received about three days after notification, so it really varies very widely.

Just received notification I won a $500 gift card from Marlboro in the Marlboro Black promotion. This is turning out to be an amazing month. I leave for my free trip for The Voice on Sunday. Here's to hoping the luck continues and everyone else has some big wins soon also.

I got my Skoal can with a plan gift cards about a month ago. I think we are still well within the rules, though, as we weren't expecting the cards for a few more weeks.

Won $100 to spend on K'NEX Smilie

Unfortunately my neighborhood will be without power for another week due to Sandy so spent 10 hrs in traffic to go from central NJ through NYC + Jersey City to stay at relative's apartment (30 flights of stairs w/ no elevator working Frown

). Everything is crazy...saw hour long lines for gas, lots of completely dark dead spots. Luckily we weren't flooded since we were only 15 min. away from submerged areas.
