Reading The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul. At some point, I'll re-read the hitchhiker series.

I'm reading The Night Circus, it's ok, but I'm not excited about it. Also still have to get back to The Hangman's Daughter, again it's ok, but nothing I look forward to yet.

Just finished Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. It's the best book I've read in years, would highly recommend it. The book, which was number one on the NY Times bestseller list in 2005, is a follow up (of sorts) to Gaiman's award winning book American Gods. I liked American Gods but it was a bit slow in the middle, still glad though that I read both.

Problem is, what next? Too many books, not enough time.

Fluke; Or, I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings [amazon.com] by Christopher Moore. not as good as some of his other works (such as A Dirty Job [amazon.com] and Lamb; The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal [amazon.com]).

i read one serious book, then one Christopher Moore book. it was refreshing after finally reading Grapes of Wrath a few months ago.

before that, the serious book was Zone One [amazon.com] by Colson Whitehead. i've tried to steer clear of the zombie literature fad, but this is a very serious and (i think) realistic portrayal of what would happen in the years after an outbreak, complete with bureaucracy, systematic rebuilding, and marketing spin on everything.

Finally started reading A Dance With Dragons from the A Song of Ice and Fire / Game of Thrones series Woot

Only about 200 pages in. Excited that I am finally back in it though!
