Your ear infection, is it inner ear or outer ear? If it is inner ear, I can suggest some things that will help... That golden seal I suggested earlier will help dry you out a bit (less mucous) and if you use a nasal decongestant (like afrin), it will help greatly.
I've never had an outer ear infection, so not sure what that is like, but I have had plenty of inner ear infections... I had to have tubes in my ears as a child, and my sinuses are congested most of the time (I think I have 3-4 days out of the year that I can breathe unobstructed through both nostrils). Whatever you do, don't do any travelling that involves changes in altitude, as the change in pressure will cause you to feel astronomical pain (assuming this is inner ear, of course).
I so hope your Wednesday holds something special for you!!!

it doent hurt right now. i also took tylenol last night and that helped since it was feeling uncomfortable. nope, no travelling for me in the future.
