Here's the story:

Me and hubby are temp. living with my parents while the boy finds a job. There are many reason I am losing my mind, but this is probably the biggest.

My sister is in college and every time she comes back to visit her dog shits ALL OVER THE BASEMENT (where hubby and I are residing Roll Eyes (Sarcastic))

I try to talk to my mom/her about it and let them know the dog is doing that, and they tell me I have no proof that its her dog, that maybe its MY dog. First of all, my dog has NEVER shit in the house, ever. Secondly, its only happening when her dog comes home.

I just basically got attacked at the breakfast table because I mentioned that there was poop everywhere downstairs, and suggested it might help if she took her dog on a walk instead of just letting it out in the backyard. My mom said, "Thats unrealistic!"

Unrealistic to walk your own dog? Really?? I walk mine 3 times a day....doesn't seem too unrealistic to me.

They tell me that I make my sister feel like she can't come home because it makes her cry when I mention the dog has pooped downstairs WTF.

Seriously-- pun unintended, but that's a bunch of crap. That's a huge part of the reason why I don't have a dog. I want to be a responsible owner who gives my dog the full attention s/he needs and deserves including real exercise and well, pooping chances. I'm not judging your sister as a person, but I'm irked for you that she doesn't take her dog out for walks. Nono1

I'm sorry you're in that situation. Frown Any way you can take her dog along w/ yours on walks? I know it's not your responsibility, but if the two dogs get along well enough, it might be worth the extra hassle to save your living place from poop. And who knows? Maybe it'll shame her into walking her own freaking dog. Or better yet--- when you're going out w/ your dog, heavily hint that she could go with you. Wink (With her dog in tow as well.)

What is wrong with CBS?! They turn off the nova vs. siena game with 2 minutes left to show commercials before Texas vs. Miami. This is in NJ which is a big Nova market. I would rather watch the end of one game that I have been watching the whole time, then the beginning of a new game.

Ok first....wtf...oh boo hoo...your sister cries when HER dog poops in the basement. Cry me a farking river.

Second...it's quite obvious it's her dog since it only does it when she comes over. Is this this sister that they invited to the game but not you?

Third..."unrealistic" to walk her dog? Really. Just a quick walk around the block or something. She might have to *gasp* bend down to pick up the dog poop and put it in a bag. Wow...that's totally asking for too much. I mean...come on. When people get dogs they should know they really don't ever have to Do anything with them. It's not like they are a responsibility or something Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I nearly lost 5 yrs off my life. The little twerp fell as he was climbing the ladder to our fort. He was hanging on to the 2x4 at the top of the ladder for dear life while he was pinned between the ladder and the fort... pretty much by his chest/head and screaming. Bigeye Though I would DIE. I don't know how I would have gotten him out alone - thank goodness DH was home. I shook for a while.

I knew the second I heard the scream that it wasn't a big brother beat down scream. It chilled me to the bone.

Here's a picture - there's a green arrow pointing to where he was hanging between the ladder and the fort. Eek.
Oh wow....I hate moments like that. I'm so glad he's ok hug

Omg....this scared me a little.

My four year old picked up some sissors that were on the tables (from opening Easter stuff) and just chopped the dogs ear. This all happened in about 3 seconds. And it wasn't accidental. He just turned around and slammed those scissors down on Phantoms ear. It bled for a bit. It's a gash about 1 1/2 to 2 inches into the ear. Luckily he didn't take the tip off and the dog, after the initial yelp, seems fine. Putting anti bacterial lotion on it and I put pressure on it with a paper towel (it's hard to hold a big ol Husky down, lol).

So now, unless I pay for stitches...which he doesn't really *need* because the bleeding as stopped...that's cost a good chunk of money. Like the money I just made working 3 nights at the damn horse show, lol. I'd do it if he needed it, of course, but I'd sort of just be doing it so he wouldn't have a permanent little gap in his ear.

Also, when I asked my son why he did it...he was just crying going "I don't know, I don't know." I mean...wtf? That's not just mischief...that's kinda scary. Wtf did he THINK would happen when he did that?

My husband is in bed because he had allergies and took medicine and it knocked him out. Also he's had long days lately too, with working all day and then the horse show at night. However I know when he comes out he'll see what our son did and then he'll start yelling at him and he'll get in a pissy mood because it happened and damn it...I just wanted to have a nice Easter.

I'm glad Phantom seems to be doing ok. His ears though...they were just so pretty and black and sleek. Frown I hope he's not hiding his pain. I mean, he was chasing his tail pretty soon after and then was looking outside at something he wanted to chase and was running between me and the door to take him out to play, lol.

OMG! Ohh she's so lucky I'm not there! Shutup

Heck, I even take Sassy for short walks most days and she's almost 16 yrs old and on 4 different meds for her arthritis!!! I'm positive that the reason both dogs lived so long was how much I loved them and the fact that for most of their lives I walked them at least 5 times a week, usually for at least 3 miles. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr her attitude as well as your parents makes me Mad
