He had to leave, but I just got a crash course in ear owies.

If it's not actively bleeding, you don't have to do anything for it. You can do the glue thing, but it's not going to heal and be all pretty and perfect. There's a vein that runs up the ear that if it's nicked the dog won't bleed to death, but infection can set in. Still send the pic and I'll make him check his email at work. He'll be there for a while taking care of all the animals of people who actually get to go on vacation.

But he did say as long as you're able to stop the bleeding it'll be OK.

Edit: Saw the pic - it's kinda fuzzy, but it doesn't look bad at all! I imagined that the ear was split in two! I bet it'll heal up just fine.

If you got it to stop bleeding, you've got nothing to worry about. He'll be ok! In fact, I'd probably just leave it alone. It'll heal up and be a battle wound you can torment the boy with for years to come. "Yes you have to go walk the dog, don't you remember the time you almost KILLED him? You owe him."

Here's the story:

Me and hubby are temp. living with my parents while the boy finds a job. There are many reason I am losing my mind, but this is probably the biggest.

My sister is in college and every time she comes back to visit her dog shits ALL OVER THE BASEMENT (where hubby and I are residing )

I try to talk to my mom/her about it and let them know the dog is doing that, and they tell me I have no proof that its her dog, that maybe its MY dog. First of all, my dog has NEVER shit in the house, ever. Secondly, its only happening when her dog comes home.

I just basically got attacked at the breakfast table because I mentioned that there was poop everywhere downstairs, and suggested it might help if she took her dog on a walk instead of just letting it out in the backyard. My mom said, "Thats unrealistic!"

Unrealistic to walk your own dog? Really?? I walk mine 3 times a day....doesn't seem too unrealistic to me.

They tell me that I make my sister feel like she can't come home because it makes her cry when I mention the dog has pooped downstairs WTF.

Omg....this scared me a little.

My four year old picked up some sissors that were on the tables (from opening Easter stuff) and just chopped the dogs ear. This all happened in about 3 seconds. And it wasn't accidental. He just turned around and slammed those scissors down on Phantoms ear. It bled for a bit. It's a gash about 1 1/2 to 2 inches into the ear. Luckily he didn't take the tip off and the dog, after the initial yelp, seems fine. Putting anti bacterial lotion on it and I put pressure on it with a paper towel (it's hard to hold a big ol Husky down, lol).

So now, unless I pay for stitches...which he doesn't really *need* because the bleeding as stopped...that's cost a good chunk of money. Like the money I just made working 3 nights at the damn horse show, lol. I'd do it if he needed it, of course, but I'd sort of just be doing it so he wouldn't have a permanent little gap in his ear.

Also, when I asked my son why he did it...he was just crying going "I don't know, I don't know." I mean...wtf? That's not just mischief...that's kinda scary. Wtf did he THINK would happen when he did that?

My husband is in bed because he had allergies and took medicine and it knocked him out. Also he's had long days lately too, with working all day and then the horse show at night. However I know when he comes out he'll see what our son did and then he'll start yelling at him and he'll get in a pissy mood because it happened and damn it...I just wanted to have a nice Easter.

I'm glad Phantom seems to be doing ok. His ears though...they were just so pretty and black and sleek. I hope he's not hiding his pain. I mean, he was chasing his tail pretty soon after and then was looking outside at something he wanted to chase and was running between me and the door to take him out to play, lol.

Now why the fark did that picture end up so much bigger than the others? Fark, I've gotta figure out this camera, lol.

i hate my mom. she's such a mega bitch first off she's in bed with bronchitis today. i was nice and went grocery shopping earlier to get her what she wanted.

she came out of her room and wondered where everyone was. she saw me and asked where my sister and nephew are and i said they went out to eat. she yells at me saying i was supposed to go with them and pay on my credit card. so i said they didnt ask me to go. then she calls me names, and yells more, and says she hopes i get sick . i yelled at her and told her ive been with them today and slammed the door in her face

Being cranky while sick is one thing...that sounds ummm like super bitchy.
