I've been to Walmart, twice now w/ coupons. I haven't run into any problems, so far. They're not pulling things out of my bags which is a plus. The mgr came over and told the cashier to accept everything that scans. I'll have to try a bigger run and see if the results the same. So far, so good. I posted some stuff on the Walmart thread, but no-one goes there.
Quote from Jen2882 :
I didn't even know there was a walmart thread lol......most of the cashier's are just rude...i'll deal with rude if it means i get some overage lol.
I didn't know there was a wm thread either laugh out loud I will have to go look for it now. GG, another thread to read (head spinning)

I'd love to know if the walmart SCO's beep if you have overage....or are you going to a "real" cashier for the durex?

I agree, I will not use Ladybug again.

I went to WM SCO at lunch and had an awful time with coupons. It's so YMMV, it's how the individual stores set their registers. Ours beeped after 2 of the movie coupons. I had him take off the other 2 movies as I had to go back to work. It was just a PITA in general, I prefer to do the regular deals at Target. I'm done with WM SCO for good this time.

Did you fold the q's in half and scan the left side only?

On the issue of cliques, I must say that I truly understand both perspectives. I was once seen as part of a clique on the CVS threads, but it was definitely not intentional on my part. I doubt that those with the most experience here really want to treat new folks poorly, but understanding the paranoia we all feel from time to time about getting our deals, keeping our ability to get the great deals, etc, it is understandable to be careful who we take into our confidence. I do really appreciate all I have learned from reading here, and will try, as I get the chance, to offer info that can be helpful. hug

I do something similar. I keep a 'temporary' word document that I go in and paste info into - deals I want to do, posts I want to look at again, links to coupons I want to print or register for, etc. Really makes it easy to keep track of what I'm doing.

Some CVS stores have a similar coupon.

Just leave it in your trunk like I do! laugh out loud Seriously, I have about 20 boxes there right now! It makes for some interesting coordination of shopping!!

Were these coupons from the inserts or the ones from the CVS link?
SM hug the B2G1 is a TQ peelie found on the large bottles of shampoo and conditioner in most stores. Combine with the Mq for free or almost free poos and conditioner. HTH.

Were you doing all seperate transactions per GC so you wouldn't have to come out of pocket at all? Did you end up using coupons too? TIA
I did a total of two transactions, where in transaction 1, I bought 6, and in transaction 2, I bought 8 packs. I got 3 gift cards in transaction 1 and 4 gift cards in the second. I did use a few other coupons in the order and I used those .75 off Irish Spring coupons that came in the bonus packs. For some reason, the register beeped after a few of them. The cashiers just K1'd them.

Oh, and lately, a lot of the coupons have been scanned and showing the message "scan the left barcode." I don't recall the coupons being so sensitive in the past ,or maybe the cashiers are just scanning so quickly that they scan the wrong side...

EEK! laugh out loud Now, mind you everyone, this comes from the chick that sells Target coupons on eBay. Of course she is paranoid...she changed her SD username (svanjones) and also changed her eBay username. (no longer svanjones on eBay.) So....this is no surprise to me that she has such paranoia. If I were her, I would focus my paranoia on my buyers of the coupons I sell on eBay. Those are the people that are going to hurt you the most. Watch out when one of those buyers happens to be a "mole!!" LMAO Oh, and DS7 said "share".....bahhhhhh haaa haaa. I didn't know eBay was about sharing!

Get a life troll....I did this ONCE when I joined slickdeals for reasonings you don't need to know and I have never sold coupons since. I changed my name on Ebay because I sell gift cards mostly and that was more intuitive to my sales. On here to try to get away from you trolls that have nothing better to do than research my name history. I wish I had the time you do.

lolu13 a troll? Rofl2 yeah thats a good one. u just dont like when u get called out for ur dirty work.

I'm trying to use them wisely, so my house doesn't look like a warehouse.

Yeah I gave them all of them that were in there. I bought a little of each of them but they k1'd them all too. Then I had mfgs for them too by the time they scanned them all and did all the gc's they knew I had bought plenty. I just figured if you didn't have much coupons you could use some of the $5 GC's to pay for the order after (#2)

I have noticed the comp has been saying "scan the left side" as well. Never as much as before........

My 5 yr old DD just said- "Mom, are we out of tape? If so can you find some coupons for it so we can get some more?" ROTFL

lol I was sitting back pondering things tonight and it is amazing how much busier I am now that I target. Not only does it take time to follow this thread, cut q's, and shop....i have to work that much harder to be a good mother and wife to keep the dh and dd happy!! I work full-time...sometimes that means 50-60 hours a week and I work weird hours....i don't get to work 9 to 5 mon-fri and spend the weekend with my family...I often work fri, sat, and sun....soooo when people just expect me to do it for them or just want to take my free sh*t it is that much more frusterating to me! I went to T with a friend today and I think she was expecting miracles b/c she just wasn't getting the concept.

I truly truly still can not believe how much money i am saving. Our computer chair broke and I actually had the money to go buy a new one....this rawks!!! lol

At Walmart the q's will ask if it is a valid amount...and I've never had a problem with any of the cashiers!!!
hug I can so relate! Right now, I Target, CVS & Walgreens, plus coupon it up! DH just rolls his eyes, of course, I handle the bills and so he just doesn't realize how much better our life is now compared to a year ago. I guess I wasn't sharing the stress when trying to decide who to pay, how much, etc. Now that stress has been greatly relieved.

Gotta also say I so agree with the people just taking the stuff we get. Now, I love to unload it, share, etc, but there is one mom in particular who is always trying to get an offer of something. Even says she'll pay me $1 per item for the things she & her family can use that we have in excess. Of course, you and I know those items she's going to want to pay the $1 for each probably cost $3 - 5 at the store! laugh out loud

thanks for the wally info
my popcorn q's did not come in inserts, I ordered them from ladybug after reading about it on here...they are the ones that took over a week to get here. no more ladybug for me. Something is fishy, I ordered on sunday the 16th and got an email monday saying they were shipped...not they did not arrive until YESTERDAY!!!! When I looked at the post date on the envelope it said 3/15 (a day before I even ordered)...so somethings not right, she must run a bunch of envelopes through to get the dates on and mail them whenever she wants.
Thanks for the heads up about her service. I have used thecouponclippers.com, ebay and couponsandinsertsbydede.com (sp?), but yesterday, was told my ebay order will be held 4 days. WTF? I am corresponding with the woman now.

Depends on what you're buying, and when. As you can tell, those who shop at Target don't necessarily limit ourselves to there alone. I love the thrill of the hunt, and getting the best deal. As a former shopaholic who could spend $400 in one day without blinking an eye, I can say that getting stuff for cheap, free, or even better, being paid to take it, is a far better high than just buying stuff because I like it. For me, sticking to one store alone wouldn't be enough.

Walmart is going to see more of us Targeters? We are wandering over to the dark side...

I am just happy that I was able to use the $2 Handi-Vac coupons for the bags, since Walmart is cheaper than Target. Do I need to "buy" 10 starter kits, since the rebate limit is 10 per household? EEK! It will be FREE after coupons & rebate...

I have issues...

I think it's amazing to get free/cheap stuff. After all these years of paying full retail.. it's so cool. I used to spend $200-300, everytime I step foot in T, now it's much less. Between T, WM, WG, CVS, Publix, Kroger & Sam's.. I have a FT job. My family isn't happy with the q's, though. My friends/neighbors would die if they knew.. I'm still a closet couponer. That's probably why I'm on SD so much.
