Yeah, what's the deal with the benefits (besides it obviously being a good cause)?

I'm unfortunately abstaining to get an internship over the summer, but I hope everyone's having a great 420 Smilie

I am 28 and I believe by the time I am retired, pot will be legal in most if not all states.

Legalize it, don't let the government grow it instead let private companies grow like the tobacco companies. Make it so a license is required to sell large quantities only.

Bottom line, we would cut billions of dollars lost to Mexican drug lords and elsewhere. We would create billions in taxes because a LOT of people would smoke it if legalized. The pharmaceutical companies that MAKE billions in anti-anxiety and anti-depressants would LOSE billions as people would likely turn to pot to self-medicate.

If we got the tobacco companies (or a LARGE sector who stands to make profits) on board, then legalization will definitely happen sooner than later.
I'll say an Amen to that one brother....feeling stranger urge to Hulk-out......gaaahhhh..

Anyways legalizing and taxing this is perfect. You cut down some cross-border running, cut out one avenue of money for dealers out there and plus you gain a cash revenue. Seriously, tax it the same as liquor and cigs and there's another cash cow. Don't partake in it myself, but don't see why I should stand in the way of others. Ya got my vote if it ever comes around to it.

The deal is decent if you are a pothead, NORML usually does a lot for "our kind".

Anyhow today, I wasn't going to smoke, but I read all the postings, and came towards people thread crapping and having their own religious political belief about Marijuana. Some regarded 4/20/09 as celebrating Hitlers birthday, and some stated Marijuana as a gateway drug. Some even say this isn't a good idea, and that all "us" potheads are lazy, and are good for nothing.

Well, here is my opinion on these thread crappers.

Today is 4/20/09 and I was planning not to smoke, just to say I didn't(I smoke about 10-15 times a day). I am going to smoke myself stupid today, just because you "trollers" think we are celebrating Hitlers birthday or the columbine shooting. As mentioned on all the previous posting, its just another day. People that believe Marijuana is a gateway drug shouldn't be blamed. I've seen hardcore druggies, and its very depressing. But comparing a "pothead" to a "crackhead" is two different things.

Is Marijuana a gateway drug?

It depends on the person, I have met fellow potheads that don't touch anything unless its green. Everyone has there own personal experience on this, and I believe that it cannot be judged. Personally I believe Marijuana is not a gateway drug. Due to the fact that your in control of your own body, and if you abuse it, its your fault. I drink Alcohol here, and there, why haven't I become addicted, and abuse it? I think it depends on the person!

Are potheads lazy?

Sure I met potheads that are super lazy, I was one of them. It does slow you down in someways, but when it comes time to take life seriously, we make sure what needs to be done properly. I have a job, and its quite good. As for school, I have two more years until I get my degree in geology. One day I'll save the planet! This varies too, it really depends on the person. One of my friends, smokes about four or six joints during study hours, so he can focus, and sometimes I smoke just to study. Why? Because it makes studying more fun, and its always fun getting good grades while having fun! Potheads can be lazy, but anyone can be lazy really. It really depends on your personal ethics, and what you believe it. Honestly fatasses are probably more lazy than potheads, and I think obesity is the #1 problem currently right now in America. So if Obesity is today's #1 problem, then I can say the laziest people on earth are fat asses not potheads.!

What are the biggest problem today other than Marijuana, and why are thread crappers ultra-super-retarded?

I know all of you "potheads" already know this, but today's problem is not the legalization of Marijuana. Marijuana is probably all the way down the list in my books. People that believed that they are "educated" enough to judge marijuana as a gateway drug or the devils drug are completely brainwashed. Based on my personal experience there's tons of problems other than Marijuana. Here is a list of problems I think are way huger than Marijuana:

1. Alcohol issue needs to be controlled. I live in the Silicon Valley, and during the weekend it gets crazy. I personally know about at least 10 people that have DUI's and two that were in serious accidents because of that. I know 0 people that have smoked Marijuana and got into an accident. I don't understand how people can threadcrap on Marijuana when there's another substance that actually kills people and break apart families.

2. Gang control is horrible where I am at. There's kids as young as 5 years old starting their own gang. Cursing and swearing, tossing rocks and using whatever to just vandalize the streets. Sure as a good Citizen, I should report this, but whats going to happen is a corrupted cop is just going to come and treat the kid like trash and the kid is just going to be worst than he is off. Cops down here make the enemy the enemy, not a friend. In today's society, that's true, but in a real society, I would love to see police officers fixing the problem, rather than promote it. Personally, I had about four friends that died from gang violence. I knew someone that shot someone I knew, and he use to be the "weed man". I do not know any incidents related to Marijuana, that resulted in murder. The gang colors for where I live is ridiculous. There's the Latino gangs X13 VS X14. There's the Crips VS the bloods. The Asian gangs vs each other, and other gangs. The activity for gangs now is nonsense, its because its probably safer to be in a gang then not in a gang(that's probably how the people in gangs feel). I was driving in a neighborhood in my own area last weekend, and the little Latino kids(about 4-8 years old) were trying to fark up my car. Now tell me if they can do this at a young age, what are they going to do in the future? Marijuana does not lead to the gang problem or anything that's corrupted, this is lead by bad parenting. The parent of the kids is in a gang, he once told me if my dog shits on his grass again he will fark up my dog. Quite funny.

3.Corrupted police officers are another problem on top of the list. In today's world the government, is not govern by the people, its governed by the people we vote for, and based on what I have seen personally on the streets, its not working so well. Here is a small example. Every night, I go skateboarding at my local skate park. During closing hours(sunset) police officers come and kick out all the kids from the park. The park is in the downtown area, and usually the kids have to get shooed home towards the crackheads, alcoholics, prostitutes, druggies, etc. Wouldn't it be better just to keep them at the skate park as long as possible? Or should we follow the "cities policy" and order to keep kids safe, and off the streets? I think all the local and national policy need to be look at, we need to not fix the problem "now" but for the long run. Police Officers around here need to meet their quota, they don't care what steps they need to take to get it done. I have seen countless Latino's being arrested for public intoxication, well let me tell you, there's days when I am drinking at the skate park, and let me tell you they will never, ever, ever, pick on an Asian-American guy. Corrupted police officers are full of hate and discrimination, and to understand why, its because they see the craziest sh*t of all sh*t ever. Think about what they do on the daily, and all the problems they go through. Look at it this way, we are still growing up and learning every second, and the way we are raised is the way we interact with people in our lives, and this is probably the reason why corrupted cops are the way they are. Police officers are probably the biggest legal gang.

4. The economy is a pretty big fixer upper problem. I personally feel like there's no way to fix it. Its been screwed since day one in the history books. Is it going to be fix? Who knows! But recently on TV there's been a broadcast about legalizing marijuana and putting it into the state legislative. If it gets passed California will make 14 billion dollars a year on Marijuana. If it gets passed they are charging $50 tax for every ounce you buy. Personally, I am not looking to get taxed for my marijuana. Legalize or not, people who smoke today are smoking regardless of its legalization. I just feel sorry for all the patients that are not getting their medicine, and that the feds are not letting them get their prescription and closing down all the cannabis clubs. I know my guy sales to another guy that has cancer and does not eat, and he can't "smoke" because he doesn't like it. So we will have to cook him a batch. Once he consumes the brownie or cookie, his eating habits change and he eats a lot of food. therefore making his cancer experience a bit better. I know people who thread crap about marijuana having a medicinal purpose as a joke, but just put yourself in their shoes and feel the pain that they deal with daily.

There's probably tons of more problems out there then marijuana! People that do not smoke, I suggest you try it out, if you don't want to then please DO NOT have an opinion on it unless you have "tried" it! And if you "tried" it and still don't like it, that means you cannot handle your shit. I had a friend that smoked for the first time, and thought he was going to die, and from this day on he doesn't like the thing. In fact he is in the process of becoming a police officer, and he told me in advance if he sees me out in the street smoking he will arrest me. Yeah not really a friend, just some dickhead friend that believes what he is doing is right. Even Obama and Clinton smoked, I am pretty sure half of the presidents smoked at least once.

Anyhow, enough with the chit chat,

Lets just get this straight, if you believe that Marijuana is the devil's drug, then you are the devil!
