Q's CVS Lounge

6,510 5,400 October 6, 2015 at 03:21 PM in Cool (4) CVS
I changed the name of the thread because I think that Q's CVS Lounge gives a better representation of what the thread is about. This isn't a deals thread although I will sometimes be posting deals. I'll probably talk more about Transylvania and the stock market than I will about the drugstores but the main thing is that is that I want this to be a cool place to hang out.

There was a show on the other day (probably on ID channel or the like) about her death.
They said that at 9:30pm (at least 4 hours after she was found in tub) the water temp was something like 93degrees.
They concluded from that and the autopsy that she took all these med's, then cocaine and got into a very very hot tub, but didn't feel the pain because of all the crap she had taken.

She passed out and went head first into the water.
I like the jacuzzi really hot but I wonder what the actual temp is. The perfect ocean temp is around 76 to 78 but freshwater has to be hotter to feel the same. Now I'm curious. I wish I had a water thermometer to measure the jacuzzi.

I just read on the CVS weekly thread about printing IP's on different days with different exp dates to get around the 4 like coupon limit. Anybody wanna try that at Target? LMAO

Miriam-Webster defines like as the same or nearly the same (as in appearance, character, or quantity). Would IP's with different exp dates be nearly the same or completely different? Confused

I'm an insert guy (my c com printer isn't even currently installed) but it's an interesting question. The way I understand like, a coupon with a different exp date would be a different coupon. The store, however, could define like as being for the same product.

I don't think the register at Target would let you. It's programmed to stop at 4.

that probably won't work at target. usually that goes by manufacturer code and price. target's pos isn't programmed to read a lot of the information in the barcodes so it might not be fine-tuned enough to tell the difference by dates. it may only know if the q is expired or not and if expired to reject it. supposedly there is a grace period but it's not across the board. may only work in regions where other retailers take gently expired q's.

I saw it in the CVS thread and thought it was clever but something that wouldn't work at a store that's going to hassle you anyway. Since I don't print IP's (for the most part), it won't have any impact on me. I only went to one CVS tonight but I spent around $300 (before coupons, of course). I wanted to test things out and see if I had any issues (as reported in the thread). The only hiccup was the $4/$15 lotion crt coming up red on a $14.98 purchase but the cashier overrode it. Everything else was as normal but I didn't have any expired crt's or x/xx's to test. CVS is making a big push to go to the mobile app which could turn into a problem for people with multiple cards. I don't get any email % off q's and if CVS takes away expired crt's and x/xx's and starts to hassle me over 2 cents and multiple cards, then I'm going to have to look for a new place to shop. I don't know what store that will be because every store seems to have its own set of problems.

i've found that ip's are for the most part higher value than the insert q's. it could be my region. we'll get 1/2 when other people get .75 or 1.00. 1/2 won't double but .50 and .75 will. besides no RP's in the paper in my town so i have to drive rather far to get all the inserts, the coupons aren't as good as online, so i stopped buying the paper altogether. i used to have it delivered and then i would just get certain wks and then a couple yrs ago i pretty much stopped.

I'm not a computer person or a phone person so I just get inserts. I was able to negotiate a very good deal so I'm happy. I need a lot of papers each week so even if I printed it would only be a drop in the bucket.

These guys were paid a huge advance by Decca and came out with one of the best progressive albums ever made and then poof they were gone.

I was thinking about getting back into the market this week but instead decided to watch 7 stocks to see how they did. They were Facebook, Apple, Celgene, Box (cloud storage), GoPro, Rite Aid, and Skyworks (chip maker for Apple). The market had a good week but I would've been down overall. I'm thinking that next week won't be good since most of the banks are reporting earnings.

Horrible sale. Just too hot... Went to 4 CVS's then I ran out of coupons. Decided to buy papers but I only got 60. I'm thinking Febreze at Target but after that I'm not sure. Staying home for EA. I don't have that many Tresemme q's so I can easily finish tomorrow. I ran into a former Wags cashier on the way home. She had nothing good to say about Wags let me tell you...

Hope there's a good fight or UFC on tonight. I'm trying to get over this cold. It's wiped me out for the last 3 or 4 days. Definitely a quiet night for me tonight.

On second thought, I probably shouldn't say this stuff. One day we'll go out to dinner or something
and I'll tell you some Wags stories...
