I changed the name of the thread because I think that Q's CVS Lounge gives a better representation of what the thread is about. This isn't a deals thread although I will sometimes be posting deals. I'll probably talk more about Transylvania and the stock market than I will about the drugstores but the main thing is that is that I want this to be a cool place to hang out.

4 U, QQ
from me and "my words" -I think Palindrome was the first one that made you
special price on pies thru Oct. 8.99 -I think I paid $13 last year
and right next door is Outback so I'll probably get Carside toGo
I'm still doing TV time warp
Decades has "binge weekends" and this weekend it's The Rogues
starring Charles Boyer, David Niven, Gladys Cooper & Gig Young
Not sure why movie stars did 1/2 hr show
about a family that's sort of a cross between Robin Hood & Mission Impossible
and I guess the A-Team, using wit & cunning instead of guns & Mr T
Must have used my quota of smilies so better say 'night!
may your h-ween candy be cheap, and at least half of it left by the 31st
cool. That's what shopping is these days - punching a clock...

You know, you are a very hard lady to catch but your profile gave you away
hugs 4 candy! altho with RA MM deals, guess I can get my own candy...
I looked at Joey but my Qs were for adult entrees. I got one meal with a big steak & we shared it
He got the mashed tatoes and we shared veggies
made salads -I've been saving the last red pepper & tomato from the garden
and some soup.
I was going to make baked tatoes in the crockpot but forgot. I have a bag of organic ones and am potato challenged when it comes to cooking them. Baked MAY come out right, but I'm usually waiting for them to finish cooking while the rest of the meal gets cold. So good mashed are a treat for him.
get extra gas points for GC purchases on one of my Safeway cards, so I got a GC and went to Outback to place my order in person, telling the guy I'd be back in 45min-hr. He'd already put it in without asking me when I'd pick up! Told me it would be ready in 15min.
then DH had a carpool problem & had to take light rail, which made him 15min after I expected. It was still kind of warm when we got home but that was annoying.
His present was a bag of Pumpkin Snaps from Sprouts. I didn't even do a card this year.
Yum, MC sounds good...
you were able to go east or west on an LA fwy?
Not just idle in traffic?
cool

We have Discover & I get CVS GC as my rewards. Hubs orders $50 GCs 2-3 times a year for me. I can't make $ at CVS anymore -and get anything we might use - but the GCs at least keep me from having to spend from our budget.

read down the comments and one guy is cautioning scam, from previous experience
The last GC's I got on ebay were a scam but paypal refunded me right away. I have no idea why people have a negative attitude about cardcash but that's really your best option. Maybe it's the 45 day thing but I go through GC's like gasoline (due to sales tax). It's $100 in tax for every $1000 you spend so I can easily use up $500 in GC's in a week on "free" transactions.

imo, walmart is over. it used to be the only game in many towns, but w/ the growth of online shopping that's no longer the case. and their online site is such a mess w/ all the 3rd party sellers. it's just so annoying. and who buys from them anyway when they are so expensive. they should have been pushing in-store pickup a long time ago. it's going to be a mature stock and then if they aren't careful it become and will go the way of woolworth's. anybody remember them? although i was sad to see woolworth's go as it is the go to place when you need something right away for a decent price. woolworth's didn't die, it lives on as foot locker. i suppose it's doing ok for what it is. my neighbor's dd dropped $100 on nike huaraches just last month.
here's what wikipedia says about foot locker-
Foot Locker has steadily risen in Fortune 500 rank, from 446 in 2011,[15] [wikipedia.org] to 435 in 2012,[16] [wikipedia.org] 413 in 2013,[17] [wikipedia.org] and 400 in 2014.[18] [wikipedia.org] Foot Locker has recorded a record turnover of 7.151 billion dollars at the end of the fiscal year.[19] [wikipedia.org]

with all the millenials not wanting to wear belts, buttons and zippers on their pants, nor collars or buttons on their tops, and basically wearing activewear much of the time, foot locker may be an interesting stock.
