I changed the name of the thread because I think that Q's CVS Lounge gives a better representation of what the thread is about. This isn't a deals thread although I will sometimes be posting deals. I'll probably talk more about Transylvania and the stock market than I will about the drugstores but the main thing is that is that I want this to be a cool place to hang out.

Of all weeks for my ninja cashier to take some vacation time.Mad I've been hitting 3-4 CVS's before work and doing 2 transactions at each. Usually I would just do a bunch at the one store. Oh well - can't always be easy. Thankfully she's back on Saturday so I can finish up any odds and ends.

The 4 day ad ends tomorrow and then the new one starts with EA on Wed night. I still have 10 more cards to go through for this ad plus all of the stuff I missed on the other cards. I wasted yesterday at Wags which put me behind at CVS. I'm going to leave in a couple of hours on a big shopping run.

Q, was the Klitchko fight on HBO? DH was channel surfing late last night and came upon the Cotto fight. He thought maybe the Klitchko fight was on earlier. Would have liked to have seen it.

The fight was in Germany and it was televised in the afternoon here. They did a replay last night with Klitchko, Vargas (possibly the fight of the year), and Cotto. I got home from shopping just in time for it. I didn't have Klitchko winning a round. That Fury dude has long arms and a very awkward style. Klitchko couldn't do anything and had no offense. Fury got penalized a point which I thought was total bs because Klitchko was turning to his back to avoid getting hit (which is never a good fight plan). Fury did throw some rabbit punches so I'm not saying that he was innocent just that he didn't deserve to lose a point on that particular exchange. I hope there isn't a rematch. Klitchko doesn't deserve it. He fought like crap and I wouldn't have much interest in seeing it again. I would like to see Fury vs Wilder. I'd have to go with Wilder by KO.

The Cotto-Alvarez fight was the least interesting to me. I don't know how Cotto thinks he won the fight. Alvarez won 7 or 8 rounds and decisively beat up Cotto in the 12th. No disrespect to Cotto. I hate his trainer (Freddie Roach) but Cotto is a great fighter. It's just that he's 35 now and Canelo was much bigger. Canelo should NOT fight GGG.

The target stores close to me have Pantene at $3.79, but I was in east county yesterday and found a store that had it for $3.49. So I got 12 and I'm waiting in line and some management type approached and told me the limit was 8. I said I was buying 12 or none and she said ok, just this one time. Then when I got to the register she came up and told the cashier she approved me for buying 12. No wonder they had so many on the shelves!

I stopped in a .99 cent store and they were out of the pillow pets, said they got 1900 and they didn't last long.

Usually Target lets me buy as many as I want but limits coupons to 4 per transaction. They should just let you buy as much of that Pantene as you want IMO, but it's a good thing they did.

I also noticed that the mobile coupons are only coming off once ( at least that's what CS said , when I bought multiple Dulcolaxes's but my mobile q only came off once )

Most stores were cool about Pantene but one store said that since I was using a 25 Q and getting GC's that I couldn't use any mq's. I really want to get this idiot manager fired but I think that I'll end up just causing problems for myself.

I think the Wags thread was a little hard on you especially since somebody else said the same thing earlier in the thread (and nobody said anything). Wags doesn't sell items for $10, they are $9.99. $9.99 is the same price as $10 in my book. It's bad enough that you have to buy and extra meter (without a q) to use the other q's. It's not you who is doing anything wrong, it's Wags. The Bayer aspirin probably has a different family code which is why it didn't work for you. For the record, I'm not doing any Bayer meters. It's not worth the trouble.

I used to do the bayer meters all the time, and I've used that coupon at RA ( where the computer takes O ). That particular poster that replied to me, I honestly don't think she knows the difference between policy and her opinion. Since they dont say "you aren't allowed to exceed the combined price of the items" and "cannot be combined with store sales" , I don't think the policy rules out my scenario, and I don't think that what I posted was against SD policy which is why I doubt they will delete it. There's too many coupon police at the stores, I don't want to argue with them here! laugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loud

You have no control over if the penny "o" from the meter q attaches to aspirin and causes the meter q not to beep. That's hysterical. I wish I had that kind of power. I could click my shoes and be in New York... laugh out loud
