RA

RA did a DD this Saturday. The prices didn't change to the new ad prices but you got the points from both the old deal(s) and the new deal(s). If the item(s) you're getting were points deals for both weeks, you got points for both deals. If you didn't max out on the new deal, the limit reset on Sunday so it's like you didn't do it. This is incredible especially with the starting points promotion. Who knows how long it will continue or if it will continue. I'm wondering if you've already maxed out the starting points deal for this week if the starting points deal for next week will kick in on Saturday and you can do another deal and then it will reset on Sunday and you can do 2 more starting points deals for the new week.

I did not get the P&G bonus for $30 of P&G items purchased on Saturday. It was available on Sunday but if I had already hit the limit on the starting points deal on Saturday, all I was able to do on Sunday was one P&G deal for 1000 points.

My conclusion is don't max out the new deals on Saturday. If the limit is 2 just do the deal once and hopefully the limit will reset on Sunday.

The RAQ in the paper for Gillette razors was beepless on the disposables on Saturday but beeped on Sunday. The $3 Gillette razor mq is beepless on most disposables (but beeps on the Mach 3) and beeps on the non-disposable razors. This is only at RA. It scans fine everywhere else. I noticed that some P&G mq's are beepless at one RA store but will beep at the next RA store. I don't understand this at all.

CVS

This isn't my deal but it's worth repeating. If you have the bogo fragrance crt from last week (I got 2 on most cards), there are some non-designer fragrances that are bogo this week making them free. I haven't done this deal myself yet.

The Tide/Pantene deal limit is 2.

The Revlon peelie beeps on nail polish but is fine on mascara. Nail polish is a mm if you have the $2 Revlon crt from last week and the $3 one that printed today. Both of these Revlon crt's are generic and should print on every card.

Almost forgot, most gift and fragrance sets are half off at RA and they are flying out the door. I was lucky and got some Axe today.

You're probably the only one who thinks that was "lucky".

Not sure what that means. I used points to pay and the points were from the DD so my cost was zero. I got around 80 Axe items so yeah, I'd say that I was pretty lucky.

What the hell are you going to do with 80 pieces of something no one ever wants to smell?

You realize that this is slickdeals. If you don't know the answer to your question, you aren't taking full advantage of the site.

Roll

I've got a full time job taking 40-70 hours of my week, plus the weekends and days I'm on call. I have zero effort to put into couponing and all the other insane stuff that people on this site do. I'm here to waste some time and get an occasional good deal on a product I need.

I've never needed 80 cans of Axe.. Shit, I've never even needed one. I knew how to not smell like a douchebag 14 year old even when I was 14. laugh out loud

Then here's a deal for you at RA. Buy six Tides @ $5.34 and use six $2 mq's from Sunday's paper. Pay $20.04 and get back $20 in points. Cost is $.04 for six Tides. To follow the coupon rules, you'll have to split it up into transactions of 4 and 2.

Nice deal, but it's really not worth the time or effort to me. Dontknow

I mean, it's fine that people do it and have the time and energy or whatever, but I certainly don't. Nor do I have the need or want to stockpile a bunch of stuff. It'll take me 2 years to use 6 bottles of that stuff with my HE washer. I've got 550sqft in my apt. I don't store shit unless I have to. laugh out loud

SD is a couponing site. Many people on SD do stockpile especially when a deal as good as Tide or Axe comes along. There are lots of things you can do with a product you don't want or need. I buy based on the deal and then I'll worry about what to do with it on down the road. When you start, having too much of something can be a problem but then you learn from experience.

The idea of the thread is to talk about some exciting things that are happening at various stores not to debate if Axe is a good product. So far it's been just me. I'll probably let the thread go if nobody else wants to contribute.

For some people... it's a deals site, and for some people that means couponing. Not Landers, and not myself, and the same for many others.

Since when? I come here for the deals, preferably those that don't require me to do MIR's or wait for a double coupon stack or other various shenanigans to get the final price.

You do realize that stuff like laundry detergent supposedly has a finite shelf life, right? So by the time you use those 20 bottles you bought(or try reselling them) they may have lost at least some of their potency.

I know this all too well. I went nuts buying clearance games from Target, Kmart, Sears and even Best Buy on occasion. Thanks to all of that I have a 100+ gaming backlog on the PS3 alone. I also used to have around 800-900 video game strategy guides from hoarding the shit out of them once they'd penny out at Best Buy, Gamestop and even Toys R' Us.

But most of them were only useful as kindling even after 3-5 years of holding onto them. Although I will say that I sold a handful of them either directly to Amazon via their trade-in program and/or to buyers through their third party marketplace. A couple of them I made insane amounts on(one sold for $150, I paid $.01). But those are definitely the exception and not the rule.

So I know where you're coming from. But even if you have a large house and a garage and/or shed to store all this excess crap in, is it REALLY worth it in the end? I mean, REALLY?
