RA

RA did a DD this Saturday. The prices didn't change to the new ad prices but you got the points from both the old deal(s) and the new deal(s). If the item(s) you're getting were points deals for both weeks, you got points for both deals. If you didn't max out on the new deal, the limit reset on Sunday so it's like you didn't do it. This is incredible especially with the starting points promotion. Who knows how long it will continue or if it will continue. I'm wondering if you've already maxed out the starting points deal for this week if the starting points deal for next week will kick in on Saturday and you can do another deal and then it will reset on Sunday and you can do 2 more starting points deals for the new week.

I did not get the P&G bonus for $30 of P&G items purchased on Saturday. It was available on Sunday but if I had already hit the limit on the starting points deal on Saturday, all I was able to do on Sunday was one P&G deal for 1000 points.

My conclusion is don't max out the new deals on Saturday. If the limit is 2 just do the deal once and hopefully the limit will reset on Sunday.

The RAQ in the paper for Gillette razors was beepless on the disposables on Saturday but beeped on Sunday. The $3 Gillette razor mq is beepless on most disposables (but beeps on the Mach 3) and beeps on the non-disposable razors. This is only at RA. It scans fine everywhere else. I noticed that some P&G mq's are beepless at one RA store but will beep at the next RA store. I don't understand this at all.

CVS

This isn't my deal but it's worth repeating. If you have the bogo fragrance crt from last week (I got 2 on most cards), there are some non-designer fragrances that are bogo this week making them free. I haven't done this deal myself yet.

The Tide/Pantene deal limit is 2.

The Revlon peelie beeps on nail polish but is fine on mascara. Nail polish is a mm if you have the $2 Revlon crt from last week and the $3 one that printed today. Both of these Revlon crt's are generic and should print on every card.

For some people... it's a deals site, and for some people that means couponing. Not Landers, and not myself, and the same for many others.
That's true but then just move on if the topic doesn't interest you. There's no reason to say something snarky. I'm not saying that you or Landers did. It just gets really old having to defend everything.

(one sold for $150, I paid $.01). But those are definitely the exception and not the rule.

So I know where you're coming from. But even if you have a large house and a garage and/or shed to store all this excess crap in, is it REALLY worth it in the end? I mean, REALLY?
That's a really good question. I guess you have to enjoy it. I like the math in doing the deals.

I actually did enjoy grabbing deals. Although it was mostly the hunt for them and the look on the employees faces in the stores when they just got done telling how 'it's priced as marked' on numerous clearance games, only to have them take it to the registers and it rings up the much cheaper clearance price.

The only time I think I was ever really frustrated was when a lady manager at Circuit City essentially blocked me from buying any of the clearance games I had brought up to the registers because obviously somehow I must've hacked their system to get the much cheaper prices to pop up. No way in hell it could've been that her pricing teams weren't keeping up with the markdowns and they failed to re-sticker the games. It HAD to be that I was magically hacking their system or had inside knowledge somehow.

I reported her via a survey when I got home and they sent me a $50 gift card for my time and trouble.laugh out loud So it worked out for me in the end.

I do too. Their lack of doing proper markdowns made for a bonanza of clearance stuff many times for me. Not to mention towards the end they had that $10 or $20 gift card guarantee if your item wasn't ready to pickup when you got there. Or something like that. I don't remember the specifics, just that I think I made about $100-120 in gift cards on a number of orders within the last year or so the company was around just by them not having my stuff ready.

I didn't get that much from Circuit when they closed. I did much better with the Tower Records liquidation sale.

I always wait till the last week or two of the liquidation sales, since those are usually SO overpriced within the first month(or two).

Yet every last one I've gone to within the last 5 years or so I would see people walking out with bags full of crap and just have to snicker about what they probably overpaid for those items.laugh out loud

Yet 10 or more years ago I remember being at a mall in NJ(Paramus or Parsippany I think) and the Sam Goody store in there was closing. There was NO ONE in there at all, it was the final day of business and they looked like they had probably 50% of their stock still.

Surprisingly I passed up checking out what they had. I just felt I had too much crap at that point already and didn't need anymore. Plus I figured there was nothing really GOOD left by that point.

I could have told you what was gonna happen in here with this thread. I'm a couponer but I never bring that talk in here. It's only interesting to the guys if it involves naked pictures and to the ladies if it's a Target deal. laugh out loud laugh out loud

It's ok. I'm getting beat up here, I'm getting beat up in the podium... I thought some people from DS would come over but so far nothing. RA is pretty exciting with the DD's. Nivea is a false alarm but if there's a DD again on Saturday One a Day could be a big mm. I see it as pay $18 and get $46 back. It could be even more. I haven't worked the deal out completely yet. Just looked at the ad for the first time a few minutes ago.

Sorry, you're here... hug
