New TV show to watch?!

We just finished Making a Murderer...it wasnt bad.

What else is really good right now? I'm eyeing The Expanse, but not sure my wife would be able to handle it.

It's on our short list, but since we don't watch much TV, we don't start too many series at once.

I've actually heard it compared favorably to Firefly, but those are some big damn shoes to fill.

That's one of our favorites, that and Killjoys which came on before Dark Matter on Syfy.

We only watch a few things these days since we've cut the cord.

Mostly the Marvel stuff on ABC. Plus, we still do Walking Dead, and have taken quite enthusiastically to The Expanse from SciFi (I still refuse to call it SyFy), so we have to get that one a bit more...creatively.
I gave up on TWD two years ago. I just couldn't take the stupidity of it anymore.

Hey Schoobs,

Sherlock is on Netflix. I'm just starting season 3. No subtitles. You might like it.

They must have heard me when I said the first season of Daredevil was good but maybe a little slow. Because the new season has Daredevil AND The Punisher, and it's very good.

And The Punisher is played by a certain well-known person from a certain well-known TV show I won't name. laugh out loud

I thought the first episode of James Franco time traveling in 11.22.63 was great. Kind of a let down after the first episode.

The Shannara Chronicles should have had more than 10 episodes.

Same here. I watched it expecting more. I will give it a few weeks.

So far DD has been good this round... I am not done with it yet though.

We're still watching 11.22.63, it isn't as good as the book but then it's hard to cram everything into a mini-series. It's worth watching though. The one thing that bugs me are the slip ups, like showing modern traffic lights (in the background) in a show set in 1963 and the badly edited school name on the school building in other background shots. Yeah, I'm a bit OCD. Embarrassment

Have you ever watched Doctor Who, the new series, not the old? That would be a good thing to binge watch while you're laid up.

I was all up to date on that series... until the latest Dr... he just doesn't work for me laugh out loud

I have been waiting for the next change to get back into it.
If I get desperate I might give it another try.

I agree, he's my least favorite Doctor and a few of the episodes were really annoying to watch, but some of the episode plot lines are so good I'm glad I watched them in spite of him. There's one with the girl from Game of Thrones and another with River Song (Christmas special) that make it well worth watching the bad episodes.

If anyone likes archeology or history mysteries, check out Expedition Unknown. I just watched the first season on Netflix and it was really good. Problem is, season two isn't on Netflix, you can find it on Amazon and YouTube but they want you to pay for it. Annoyed

Haven't checked Hulu yet.

Just finished binge watching Les Revenants (The Returned) on Netflix.

It's a French series focusing on one character's background each week. Yes, they come back from the dead but no gory zombies here. Very interesting and will keep you invested throughout. Haven't watched the American remake, I'm going to finish season 2 first.
