Citibank is the worst bank! I know someone who got $40k hacked from their Citibank checking account and Citibank didn't do shit! Don't trust this bank even if it's for a credit card! I would never support such a shady bank, cannot stress that enough.

When Chase and Discover aren't acting weird I can sometimes land a 5% off deal at wholesale clubs. Citi is threatening to launch a 6% off card at 2 stores you select from a list but gives 3% back at wholesale clubs. When Target and Amazon have cards that give 5% back 2% back is way too low.

Is there another credit card without an annual fee that offers higher than 3% cash back on restaurants?

With this being managed by Citi, do others also think that we can generate virtual credit card numbers for this card?

I've had this credit card for awhile now, but it's been awhile since I've been to Costco or taken advantage of their deals. I've been wondering, if I were to cancel Costco membership, how would Citi know to cancel my Costco credit card? Would they cancel my credit card automatically - if so, how soon from the membership cancellation date? Thanks

They probably will find out at some point and when they do, most likely they will switch your card to a regular Citi account and charge you the annual fee, and you'd lose all the benefits associated with Costco.

They will know and will send you a letter to enroll in new membership or they will cancel your credit card. Happened to me.

I chatted with them pretty recently around a week ago to confirm the extended warranty before a big-ticket item purchase. They said yes, they will cover the additional 24-month warranty as long as you buy with the card. It has that info in their site too under benefits.

I'd imagine when they try to apply your accumulated rewards to your account they'd have an issue. What they'd do after that who knows, but it seems your rewards will be forfeited:

You will not receive a credit card reward certificate if your reward is less than $1 or your account is closed at the time your credit card reward certificate is scheduled to be sent; any Costco Cash Rewards that had been accrued at that time will be forfeited. You must maintain your Costco Membership to redeem your credit card reward certificate.
