I'm sure it's been mentioned and buried but extended warranty benefit goes away next month which sucks
Uhh yeah I have an Amex, this is not true lol
I'm sure citi fought hard in the bidding process to beat Amex to get the Costco account. Part of the terms were probably to offer better benefits for the customer....

Does this also come with free costco membership? Also Is it also available to new customers?
good question, does anyone know? I don't see anything that states that it comes with a free membership, so my guess is no since in the faq it discusses about options to auto charge membership fees to this card:
"If your Costco membership fees are currently set up for automatic payments with your Costco card from American Express. Costco will charge these automatic payments to your new Costco Anywhere Card."
You must be wondering how Citi can give higher benefits than Amex? Well it's call outsourcing. I have been loyal member of Citi and everytime I call a customer service some guy in India is on the other side. Citi is mostly Indian.
I don't think so, 3% is pretty high on restaurants, and 4% on gas. The cards with rotating categories will beat these for 1/4 of the year, for example Freedom offers 5% on gas right now until April 1, but I don't think there's a 4% yearly gas card for no fee.
Pretty good card, it looks like

Closest thing I can think of is Citi Forward which gives 5 points per $1 that can be redeemed for gift cards.
Thank you for the confirmation. If I had not signed up for the Chase AARP card several months ago, I probably would have signed up for this card. The AARP one gives 3% cash back on restaurants and gas, along with a $200 sign-up bonus.
With regard to credit pulls and affect on scores, will the Amex account show as a closed account on a credit report? If so would it be setup so that closed account doesn't factor into a FICO score?
AmEx will offer you a new AmEx card to replace your Costco branded card. If you take the new card, your age of credit history will be not be impacted.

The Costco credit cards have never included free Costco membership, so I don't know why you would expect the Visa card to have that. I'm sure it doesn't.
Has anyone tried to switch an existing Citi Visa (Non Costco Amex) to this new Costco Visa without a credit pull or new credit app? I am at work so I can't try until this evening.

Does anyone know if you can cancel the card when the switch happens without affecting FICO / credit scores?
