Also it's good to know for Chase Freedom card holders that they will be giving 5% CB at wholesale clubs through the rest of 2016. Can't go wrong with that!

If you have a Chase Freedom Visa card and haven't seen the other thread, they're offering 5% cashback for wholesale clubs. It was only for this quarter (ending June 30th), but they extended it until the end of the year.

Compared to Citi Costco Visa's 2% rate, it's a nice jump. However, please note that it's capped at $1,500 ($75 cashback) for each quarter and gas purchases do not earn 5% CB (you can always buy Costco gift cards with 5% CB and use those for gas, of course).

If I have charges between the 12th & 19th - do I pay AMEX or Citi for those charges?

That's what I thought.,...BUT then I saw this on the transition FAQ page here [citi.com]& caused a pause:

When do I start sending my payments to Citi instead of American Express?
When you receive a statement from American Express please send your payment to American Express by mail, phone, or online. When you receive a statement from Citi, please send your payment to the address in your statement or make a payment online once you register for Citi® Online.

If your AmEx billing cycle closed before the deadline, you pay AmEx. But if you are mid-cycle, your charges have been forwarded to Citi and you will pay Citi.

Redeeming Costco Cash Rewards: Your reward is distributed annually via U.S. Mail in the form of a reward coupon included in your February billing statement, and is redeemable through December 31 of the year issued in a single transaction at any U.S. Costco warehouse, including in Puerto Rico, for merchandise or cash back. The reward coupon will contain your Costco Cash Rewards balance based on your eligible purchases during the annual reward period. The annual reward period is based on January through December billing statements. Should you choose to redeem only a portion of the coupon for merchandise, you will receive the remaining balance in cash at the Costco warehouse register upon checkout. Some warehouses may not permit the reward coupon to be redeemed for alcohol purchases. Requests for cash may be fulfilled in the form of a check at Costco's discretion. You will not receive a reward coupon if your reward is less than $1 or your account is closed at the time it is scheduled to be sent; any Costco Cash Rewards that had been accrued at that time will be forfeited. You must maintain your Costco Membership to receive and redeem the reward coupon.
