Did I read somewhere that the B1G1 free All Nautural tempations cat treats, also work for the pet food trick?

I am ordering q's and want to know if I should throw some of those in there too, thanks!

Being a single parent is tough at times, more so when DS was younger, but it's totally changed my life around. Sure, I lived at home with my parents after he was born, used WIC and rec'd childcare assistance, etc. I probably took advantage of having the built-in babysitter because I wasn't ready to give up my party days & convert to a domesticated lifestyle. I worked full time & finished school only with the help of my parents. Got a good job at a resort after college, worked my way up, transferred & now have found a happy little spot at a family owned company. Baby daddy up & left for Jersey about 4-5 years ago, haven't seen or heard from him since. I don't depend on his money, if I had to depend on him for anything, I would be SOL.

I'm just saying I don't want to depend on anyone else for the quality of my life. Sure I'm about to have to buy a new a/c unit & I've got to call a plumber, but hey, I own a house, drive a nice car that doesn't break down & thanks to SD, have a little extra cash to afford small luxuries. Looking back at my life then, 21 with a baby, I would not have been able to finish school and work at the same time without daycare assistance. Had a rent-subsidized apt, so rent was affordable and wic helped out for a short time. I don't really know what I'm trying to say, just that back then, as a new single parent, I was ambitious to not want to be associated with a negative stereotype.

I tell ya, switching from the corporate world to a small family owned business has made a huge improvement in the quality of our lives. Appointments are no problem, I can bring him in if there are times that the babysitter is not available (he's almost 8 now), so that has dramatically decreased my stress level. It's all in what you create for yourself. If you've got the want to do it, then do it, and make a change. It's not easy, but it sure is fulfilling to see what you have earned. Most importantly, I love being a mother to such a sweet, darling, funny, thoughtful, intelligent child.

I agree w Smrtshppr42, my hubby knows better. If he started saying anything about my Targeting, I would have to say something about the 2 online games he plays, for which I buy his game time cards at Target w overages.

We only have 1 car, so I usually only go out maybe once during the weekday with my SD buddy and go out more on the w/e's or after the baby goes to bed.

I am a sahm, so this helps supplement our income, by getting good deals

HELP! While I was at work, I guess the kids hid from dad (to make him a present) and painted with craft paint and it got on clothes and on my DDs brand new rug! How the heck do I get it out? Its that cheap $1 a bottle craft paint (acryllic I think?)

Hey, wouldn't it be great if we could all just work full-time as deal shoppers and get paid somehow to do it and get good deals???

Yep....I don't think my dh and I have ever had a night out together since dd was born and she turned two in March. About a month ago we had finally arranged a babysitter and dh had back problems so we couldn't go out.

Does anyone know why my posts have started back over to 10? I have posted before (although not a lot because usually by the time I get to Target my deals are already posted) and when I just posted in the Target thread it started my posts over. . . is it because it has been awhile since I last posted?

If it is paint I would spray it with "goof off" or "goo gone" spray and try to blot it out that way. DD came home from school one day and someone had "signed" their name on the outside of her jacket with magic marker I was able to get it out with "goo gone" spray. Goof off spray works great on paint as well! hth

with so much of what you said. I would have never made it as far as I have today if I had not have had "the system." I was 14 years old when I got preggo with dd1 and 15 when I had her. Her "dad" was gone after about 3 months into the pregnancy. I worked HARD to get done with HS (early) and got my first Associates degree at 19 years old. I worked 3 jobs and went to college full time to get the things I felt that my family needed. I became a nurse (LVN) when most of my friends were still "figuring their lives out" and they all had kids as well.

I know that having my dd soo young was "my choice" and it took care her the best I could. She totally changed my life, and as sad as it may be, we grew up together. I would NEVER had made it as far as I have now if I hadn't of had that "reality" smack me in the face. I was a teenager and having my dd made my life more stable.

Sure, I had to get on all the "programs" to help me, but for heavens sake, that is what the programs are for. To help our fellow citizens out. We are a united nation. We should help one another. I have no problem paying the HIGH taxes I pay now since I became a RN. I was single when I went back to college the second time to get my RN and it was hard then as well. I was 22 and I thought it would be soo much easier, but it wasn't. I did it though.

I don't know what I am really trying to say (I am typing this all from our pool, trying to watch 5 kids ~not all mine~) except that you should just think that someone using "the system" is like all of the stereotypes.
