nod It was so bad, I didn't even go to CVS Faint (and it's only about 10 mins away)

DS thought it was pretty neat though when the storm first came rolling in (right before his bedtime).... the temp dropped about 20 degrees in like 5 minutes (it had been 100 today OMG) and the wind was blowing so hard it was raining sideways!
LOVIN that drop in temp! woot 100 is a tad to hot for me.

DS (6) and DD (4) weren't loving the storm so much. DD is afraid of the thunder. Luckily the last one ended right at bedtime, so that didn't keep her awake.

Awh, poor thing... Comfort

My DS is almost 6 (end of July) and he liked it at first, but then started to worry about "what if a tornado comes thru our house?" EEK! Gotta love kids' questions! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) laugh out loud

I went to Kmart today. Bought $170 in bedding items and paid only $25 OOP. woot Used gazillion of coupons to get my total down.

Then, I felt like I was cheating on Target - because I saved so much at KM that I forgot what I want to buy at Target. Big Grin
What a GREAT deal! I have wiped out the only KM near me that has the trial size pedigree. Has anyone seen them anywhere else? I looked in T and WM and didn't see any.

Do you CVS? I ask because every once in awhile they have deals on the Boost Smoothies and they're pretty good --- especially considering they're free (or better Wink) I've only seen the Strawberry and Raspberry flavors, but DS will drink both so they can't be *too* nasty. laugh out loud

If you have any of the Fuze Pineapple and coconut flavor, what I've been doing is making the following:

24 ice cubes
1 bottle of fuze (pineapple/coconut flavor)
2 or 3 slices of canned pineapple
1 tbsp of coconut cream (not coconut milk)

Put all in a blender or smoothie maker and mix.

Consistency is that of a slushie/icee

I get about 3 large glasses out of that. I have one when I make it, and then fill 2 other glasses and put them in the freezer door. Grab another one when I want. It doesn't take long to defrost back to the right consistency.

It tastes like a pina coloda or chi chi drink - that's if you like those kinda drinks.
My granddaughter says it tastes better than the ones you can buy at Target.

If you take into account that it makes 3 large glasses, the calorie intake is not so bad.

HTH

PS - I've done it without the coconut cream as well, and it still tastes good.

ANY advice on losing weight is much appreciated...I feel the need to win this stupid contest!!! lol[/QUOTE] There was a thread in the lounge about taking 35 grams of fiber a day for losing weight. I think most people who tried it did pretty good, you might want to search for that thread. My neighbor said she lost 10 pounds in a few weeks and that was the only thing she did differently.

I used to make smoothies all the time. I need to start again because I have gained about 5 pounds in the last three weeks - since school got out! I keep telling myself that I will do better and I never do. Maybe we can motivate each other! How much are you trying to lose? I lost about 20 pounds last summer and I would love to lose 10 more. I guess 3 weeks ago I only had 5 pounds to lose! I suck!!
Anyway, smoothies....

light vanilla yogurt
strawberries (frozen)
half a banana
orange juice
ice

very yummy

Wink What's that saying? "Can't teach an old dog new tricks" or was it "once a dog, always a dog!" OMG
On a deal note, I went to Walmart today and used the Coke coupon on 24 packs of Dasani. Worked great! Water for $2!!
Why didn't you get the Dasani at Target for 99? Or did you not want to try coupon there? I've stocked up for days from Target & WM with this coupon.

wave Stormycat....I read about your storm saga in the other thread. Glad you are ok. Mother Nature has been fierce this season in some parts.

Definitely, I need all the motivation I can get!! lol I want to lose between 40-50 pounds. *sigh* just saying it is so discouraging. I've used the cop out that it's not my fault (medical stuff) for far too long and just need to do it.

Had a fantastic run today. BC Was 210.xx ish and AC was 43.71. I got Huggies overnight diapers (18.99)!!! OMG I needed these, I was planning to work them into a run at KM, but I NEEDED them right now and so I had to get them, else my total would have been a lot less! But as it was my total got lower than I had anticipated, so it all worked out.

I got 3 pakcs of pampers/wipes---- minus lots of Qs
dasani -3.00 mfq
3x wet ones canisters -.75 mfq
2X GM fruit snacks (2) -.80 MFQs and (2) -.75 TQ
strawberry shortcake bubble bath
2Xbaby ruth snack packs, the 8 count 1.00 ones -1.00 MFQ X2
paperclips
4Xoral b stages toothbrushes -BOGOX3 (beeped for price, then item not found, but the shelf tags were wrong so the price I told her was off by ..05 so who knows)
5X campbells chunky soup
Tide to go pen -1.00
2Xinfusium -5.00mfqs X2
3XHorizon milk 3pks -1.00 MFQs X3
3X bounty single rolls -1.00 mfq and 1.00 TQ both X3
4X revlon eye shadow 4X 2.00MFQ and 3.00 TQ MFQs beeped
2X HP paper (I buy 2 almost every trip to target, anyone else have 20+reems of paper lying around?) -3.00 X2
3X Lysol wipes -2.00 MFQ X3
6X Pantene -1.50 MFQs X6 -3.79 TQs X4
trial size hefty one zip -.75 mfq
2Xhandi vac bags-2.50mfq x2
woolite pod -3.00 mfq

I used (2) 5off 50's

I did not have anything new to report so I posted this on this side instead.

Can I just say wow! what a great deal on the pampers.

What q's are you guys using for overage, other than the Temptations?
That's what I want to know... I'm loving the registers at KMART... now I just need to figure out what all to buy.

I've been getting for free or overage with MQs..
From H&B Clearance
-Colgate $1.49 or less ($1.50 MQ)
-Got2b stylers $1.24 (using $2 hangtags from T)
-SunSilk $1.24 (using $1.50 or $2 MQs)
-Old Spice Deod $.98 (using $2 MQs)

I've been getting for free with MQs
-Hefty One Zip Travel bags (I bought my initial one with overage... and actually found add'l $1 peelies off of big bags... and then I cut the Qs off the back of the ones I buy and use them on my next KMART trip to buy more... so each time I go I always buy 4 with the MQs I cut from the packages of the 4 I bought last time)
-J&J buddie bars (if they're in stock... and using the $3/3 catalina that's supposed to print)

Anything I should add to my list??
