This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I just got done reading the whole T thread. I missed 2 days so there was over 20 pages OMG I probably missed stuff, but had to get it done. I wasn't on much in the last 2 days since I have been sick (vomit) and not feeling well enough to even be on SD for long. Sadwalk I went to bed around 7:30 pm and woke up at 1 am and wasn't able to go back to sleep. I am still seeing the "burlap mask man" (that is what me and the hubby call the guy from "the strangers") so I decided to read on SD. Anyways, I am posting because if you all are scared easily DO NOT GO SEE THAT MOVIE!!!! I am still freaked out because of it a week later laugh out loud Call me a baby or sissy, I don't care, the truth is the truth Stick Out Tongue
Thanks, Ariel. Definitely not my kind of movie. I get scared easily.

When "Friday the 13th" came out many years ago, I watch it and wouldn't go near a window for a week. Was afraid that Freddy will slash my head off, through the window. EEK!

We couldn't BF as I didn't make enough milk, they think maybe due to how long I was on IV for. Anyway, I pumped for 6 long weeks and switched to bottle back then. He loves his bottle. The temper tantrum last night and this morning was excrutiating. We waited too long,he's 17 months. Tried at 12 and 13 and he wanted nothing to do with it. Had to do it now as I know if I go back to pedi with a kid drinking from a bottle I will get a lecture.

May need target run later to cool my nerves. Yup that sounds good.

The first Damian Omen scared me bad, I remember having nightmares as a kid. For some reason the second recent one as an adult didn't seem very frightening. Maybe because it didn't seem as frightening and evil as an adult. Plus I have seen the little boy who plays Damian on the soap "The Guiding Light" and he plays an evil boy on that show as well. Kinda took the freight away for me.

Another movie that gave me nightmares was the Omega man (with Charlton Heston), and I kept dreaming about how I could hide from the people who came out at night who were altered from the gem warfare. My sister was older and said it wasn't even scary, right I was terrified that something like that could happen to the world for years! No one I ask seems to remember that 70's movie, does anyone?

I haven't seen Omega Man but I was born in '85 so that is probably why. I hate scary movies. In high school my friends and I went to the super late showing of Darkness Falls (the one about the tooth fairy) and I about pee'd my pants. I had to drive home by myself down this tree lined road that has no street lights on it and I was SCARED outta my mind. I think I turned on my dome light.Embarrassment

ETA: Remember how a bunch of us ordered from Early Bird coupons during Memorial Day weekend and a lot of us west-coasters didn't receive our orders. I emailed them 2 weeks after my order "shipped" and we have exchanged a couple of emails over last few weeks and I just got another one saying that they are almost done figuring out what to do about my gigantic order that disappeared off the face of the earth. While I understand that $%#$ happens it is really sad that it takes this long to figure out what to do.

Remember the Rule-of-thumb for this deal. Use the BOGO 1st and put the peelies last in your pile. Don't have any other P&G items other than the H&S or it will mess up your run and cause major beepage.
hug Thanks so much! hug

I knew this, but if I hadn't seen your post, I might have forgotten. In fact, the T I was in last night had some Tide in the trial area that I was going to buy, then it dawned on me what might happen.

Quote from qing :
These peelies also work on the Pantene deal, so you can get free Pantene, GC, and overage.

I think I used 6 H/S peelies and 6 $1.50 MQ on the Pantene that is on sale for $3.29. I can't remember the details, but I was able to use extra peelies due to the GC deal with Pantene.

When I purchased the H/S, I had to use the peelie exactly as worded.
Yes, I have used the peelies on the Pantene deal, but since I had the H/S bogo coupons, am out of Pantene coupons (but have ordered more) and also found more Pantene peelies this weekend, I figured I should do the H/S deal as well. Cool

Oh yeah, I found the peelie motherload this past weekend - at least for H&S and Pantene! Cool

And to make it even better, I found more Mamma Mia peelies last night! Smilie

Okay - SMALL freak out - - -

I have a reg T in my area and they have reduced the food section AGAIN....

A few weeks ago they had a lot of clearance in the food section , but I just assumed that they were getting new product or new flavors/variety etc....

Anyone else notice in their area - I live in Eastern Washington ......
Ours did this just before they began a remodel that gave us an extended food section. Not a Super T, but a bigger one with freezers & some cold food products. So maybe this is the 'bad' before the good comes.

You know, I couldn't even watch the previews of that movie a few weeks ago when it came on. And we were at a PG13 movie, so you'd think the previews they were showing were approved for that level of an audience. You aren't a baby, heck, I am. TOO scary. EEK!

Ok small rant... How do people read only the parts of a thread where people post a peelie that they find but somehow manage to not read where it was found and at what stores? And then the excuse that people have for being so ignorant is that they are new. Hello!?! I would probably be considered "new" since I just started couponing in February. I am more than happy to help others when they have a question or need to be clued in on what is going on even if it has been discussed over and over in the thread. I know that sometimes people just need a little extra help but butting into an ongoing conversation and asking questions that were just answered make me wanna

laugh out loud Yeah, that's been going on for a long time around here! laugh out loud

And if they'd only figure out, the best way is to hang in the chat sometimes, so that when you do have a really dumb question, it doesn't make everyone rant. hug

I just read that post of yours.OMG I don't understand why "natural selection" hasn't kicked in yet. I am actually curious to know if people ask these questions because they are lazy or if they really can't figure it out by reading the thread. I mean obviously they read part of the thread because they think there is a coupon for Charmin but how do they not see the million posts that say that there is no $5 coupon for Charmin.Scratchhead I don't get it.

ETA: MamaRo you might wanna add another line to your siggy!

I think that they see something they are interested in, and immediately reply, "Where's XYZ?" w/o bothering to read the rest of the thread. . . .EVER.

I've been guilty of posting w/o finishing reading before, but I always finish reading later (b/c I hate missing a single post, LMAO ) and usually am embarrassed b/c someone else had already answered my question, posted what I posted, or whatever. Blush Which is why I usually restrain myself now. Usually. Smilie

Also a lot of people here on SD are not really couponers. EEK! Shocking, I know. But they seem to look for good deals on electronics, online deals, and other stuff where coupons don't really play in. So they wander in to the WM thread, see someone posting about buying Charmin w/a $5 Q and ask a naive question. Dontknow That's my best guest.

I've actually spent more time than usual over in the HD section, and I'm shocked at how downright NASTY people over there are to each other. Faint I really don't get it. . . . why bother to post in a thread just to say that everyone who likes said thing is automatically an idiot? Sadwalk I'm really glad the peeps in the T thread and in the DS forum are nicer than that, otherwise I'd be outahere.

I am still really new to the Target deals - I only started reading the T deal thread 2 weeks ago and only found this chit chat thread a few days ago. I am really enjoying reading about all of the deals people get (I showed my mom oranges' last target run post - she was AMAZED).

And I am REALLY thankful for all of you longtime T SDers that put up with us newer ones - I hope I don't incur the wrath of any of you hug laugh out loud

Don't even answer their PM's or tell them that you don't know what they're talking about. Thats what I do when a new poster asks a stupid ? with no please or thank you attached. It's annoying, the answer is 3 posts above the one they already read.

And I like amzngrl, don't care if she just started in Feb because she contributes. That's the key. When someones first post is asking for something, they will incur the wrath, KWIM

And anepu, you do have a good point, but I think it's to each his own, what everyone is comfortable with. Moderation is different things to different people
