This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

OK, this may be a random question (and not related to T, or KM, or Thomas trains or anything Teehee) but I will be needing to buy a number of pregnancy tests in the near future Blush and I'm wondering. . . what's the best place to buy them? Are the store brand ones OK to use?

I've heard people talk about buying them at the Dollar store, but that seems a little sketchy. But I checked them out at WAG today and the EPT was like $13 for one test. OMG So anyway, any advice would be appreciated. Smilie
I bought the Target brand ... they usually have an extra test in the box and since I am there - why not buy it there! Smilie Good luck! hug

The $ store ones work just fine.
It took us 3 years to concieve our last so I pissed on A LOT of sticks laugh out loud
I use to buy internet cheapies (that's what we called them on the fertility boards) in bulk on ebay along w/ my ovulation test (went through a ton of those too) you can get them really cheap and they work fine. I finally got my + on x-mas eve w/ one of those, then confirmed it w/ a $ store one....then a Clearblue easy....then another CB easy laugh out loud & that was only 11 DPO

Because if they can prove your intent to use a coupon on anything other than it's intended purpose, is coupon fraud.

This [planetfeedback.com] is funny. Someone bitching about Target not taking her coupons.

From Coupon Information Corp [cents-off.com]
When does a fraud occur?
A coupon is valid only when presented by a consumer to a retailer in conjunction with a purchase of the brand, size, and quantity of the product specified by the coupon. If submitted in any way other than that detailed by the issuing manufacturer, a misredemption occurs. Misredemptions can constitute a violation of Federal and/or State law.

What are the penalties for coupon fraud?
Penalties for those convicted of coupon fraud related crimes vary by each case and the number of laws violated.
As of this date,
Longest prison sentence: 17 years
Highest financial penalty: $5 million
Prison sentences of three to five years are not uncommon. Financial penalties generally vary, but have often been in excess of $200,000

Forgive me for jumping in here, especially when I've not posted here in chit chat or in the Target deals thread but I just wanted to point you in the direction of some online stores that sell pregnancy tests and related stuff for those of you TTC. I've used this one before: http://www.babyhopes.com/
if you do a google search you can do a price comparison - the rates are pretty reasonable when you're buying more than a couple at a time. I think I've used fleabay before too!

I've heard the dollar store ones work fine too, although I can't vouch personally for them.

Good luck to everyone TTC.

Yikes thats not funny... I have had some very similar conversations with some other posters on the board. A similar story was just told a few days ago. i would be very cautious with "Spicey" that seems to set things in a bad direction.. i for sure would have wet myself if i had seen that.. Just use your head if you arent using expireds or other questionables not much they can do to you.. I cant see them takin you down for sheba, or H&S as long as you had a few of these products in your run it can be easily explained.. If you give them several expireds esp. from several yrs ago they could get you for intent. Not a position i would want myself in.. just my 2 cents.

I buy 10 at a time at the dollar tree, that way you can use as many as you want and not spend as much. I got + on dollar tree tests with both of my kiddos and will buy more in the future!
Good luck!

I've used Testforless.com. You can get them for really cheap. They work really well also. When I was trying I was a pee on a stick junky. I tested positive 11 days after ovulation with my son.

Good luck! Big Grin

I don't use any EQ, not even ETQ. Should I worry about using qs like Coke, ziplocks & FF?

These cheap tests are a great $$saver...and I hear they work great for the majority...just wanted to add that if YOU think you are dont ever simply rely on a pee stick...call and ask for a blood test or retest in your drs office and continue to ACT as if you ARE...I for whatever reason NEVER test positive on a pee stick..evershake head ...so if not for the bloodtest to confirm my suspicions we would have never known with any of our +'s....good luck!! hug
