All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

For those waiting on the Handi-Vac rebate, I just got mine today. That was nice to get $50 in the mail. I bought all 10 you could buy, and gave most to my other family, I kept 3 for my immediate family. They were free after the sale, coupons and rebate so what a deal. I think they were $6.99 plus tax, then $3 coupon than $5 rebate. So really overage of .40 on each after tax and the stamp. I mailed mine in on almost the last day they could be accepted, so the rebate came pretty quite. I think one of my rebates was 29 days after my purchase and it would take 3-5 days at least for them to receive. The rebate said it must be received within 30 days of purchase, so I was a little worried about $10 of the rebate (two were on this receipt). However, maybe they went by postmark date, because I did get the rebates for all ten.

Also when I used one of the bags from a box of Handi-Vac bags, the bag failed. It wouldn't work for anything, this was the only bag that ever did this to me. I have used at least 5 boxes now. Anyway I called the company and told them about it, the CS lady asked the lot number of the bags and was glad I reported it, and sent me a coupon for a free box. That was really good customer service, because I was a little worried at first the bags wouldn't work in the freezer. However, like I said that was the only bag that didn't work, so it turned out alright.
I got a $10 handi vac rebate today, I just love them! I have used up only 2 boxes and have a gallon and a quart open right now.

I had a great mail day, I had 21 individual bricks q's in the mail, LOL, 13 for kellogs, 5 disney, and 3 All. so much nicer than using up my ink, they come in color and on special paperBig Grin

I am talking about the kind that two can ride in. Also, any experience with these... do they have lap belts? My baby is turning 1 tomorrow and I think this might be good for her and her sister instead of the double stroller all of the time.
When my baby was 1 my oldest was 4 1/2. I bought thie Radio Flyer Pathfinder wagon. Love it! It has seatbelts and back support.

I just wish I could get coupon.com and smartsource to mail out as well, LOL. Yah it can be a hassle to wait for them, but my current stategy is to request as many in the mail as I time to do, then print, so I have instant gratification and know more are the way, LOL.

Lucky you. We have 3 this summer that I know of, just got invited to another one today for a 1yo, got that covered downstairs. But what do I do about the 8yo and 6yo? Legos?
both boys---[/QUOTE]

Legos are good for the 6 yr old. Play doh too. My son just turned 6. He likes legos, play doh, army men, tanks, trucks, any kind of truck (front end loaders, dump trucks, tow trucks, garbage trucks, cranes...), matchbox cars, imaginext figures/dinosaurs, puzzles, spy gear, trains (Thomas *cough, cough), remote controlled cars.

8 yr old boy gets a little harder. spy gear, national geographic stuff.

Mixed mail day for me.

1st of all... I see an official looking letter from Target EEK!
Then I remembered I called last week about some very stale tasting AF mix I'd just bought that day (I've never called about T food tasting bad before... but this was so bad, I just had to)... inside were 2 $3 apology TQs. Smilie

Then I notice a letter from my county police dept... EEK! this was as bad as I thought... apparently we have red light cameras in my county and I went thru one on a turn coming home from the mall earlier this month (didn't even realize I did!) $75 fine Weeping
So bummed because I was so stupid... all the $$ I save and then one stupid mistake wipes out all the savings!! Mad

Next is a letter from Glade. I did the MIR on the car scented oil holder & refill... overpaid at CVS for it... but needed to burn some ECBs anyway. I didn't pay attn when I got the rebate check awhile back... anyway, the letter says they might have made a mistake calculating rebate checks for this promo... so they sent me a MQ for a free one (up to $4.50)! I love unexpected freebies! Big Grin

Next is a rebate from Universal Marketing Services... $6.99... I'm almost positive this is for the Organix Shampoo I bought & sent a rebate for back in FEB. I'm just glad I finally got the $$!!

I got a postcard MQ from Crest... $2 off Crest Healthy Radiance (37000 club)

Anyway, 3 bricks Qs in the mail pile too... $1/2 Kelloggs (2 of them!) & the $3 Planters. Should come in handy this week at T. Smilie

Overall, a mixed bag for me since all the Qs still don't add up to my stupidity of $75! Frown

Yeah, we just got those red light cameras at a few select locations here as well. I'll have to be very careful. Most of my problem comes because as the light changes to yellow either 1) I can't stop safely or 2) if I do, the guy behind me will plow through me.

It is not uncommon here for four cars to go through a light on the through street while I'm sitting at a light that is clearly green.

They have those camera flashes in Chicago, but I can gloat about it. laugh out loud Why? The camera only takes picture of your FRONT license plate and/or your photo (depends on the system). Being from Michigan, we DON'T have any front plates, just the back ones. Rock But, they do get me on the parking spot, since the signs can easily be misunderstood. Mad (why do I can about snow days in spring, summer or fall?)

In the lower right corner... under "2008 Coupons Inc" (or something like that) there is a 'Help' link. Click on that and up pops a form (if it's possible to get a Q mailed to you... some you can't get mailed) to fill in your address to get the Q mailed to you. Smilie

Quote from schnauzermomma :
I'm not a doctor, and while I agree with this, the fact is that some women, when pregnant, can have a very low pregnancy hormone, or Hcg. When I found out I was pregnant, I found out via a blood test at the doctor's office.

The strips had repeatedly shown negative, and we'd been TTC for months. Back then I don't even know if the dollar stores carred the tests, so we were spending some $$. Doctor said my Hcg was so low that it was likely I'd been pregnant before, but before things had time to develop, my cycle took over because the Hcg was so low.

We were literally one month from starting fertility shots. EEK! So to all of you TTC, and it's not happening, I encourage you to talk to your doctor about doing more of your pregnancy tests via a blood test at the doctor's office - and EARLY on after your cycle is missed.

PM me if you need more info.

Sad to think of people having to slam others so deliberately. Personally, I can say I think the T thread has changed pretty dramatically. It had a reputation for being "mean", and I came over and started reading about the deals, but never posting. I had already been on SD for almost a year and had plenty of posts & reps, but there was a group here that was pretty scary.

Little by little, the T thread has become much nicer. I still think there are folks who don't read enough before they post, but maybe that's just me.
Thank you s-momma, for the p test advice and the "history" of the T thread. Now I know where we got our "rep" as being so "tough." laugh out loud Now I'm hearing the theme to "West Side Story" in my head.

Couldn't agree more about the reading before posting-- that should be the mantra around here!
