I totally agree with you, I hope your 3 year old can get the toy! I personally never knew so many adults collected trains, and not just Thomas the train. Probably won't make you feel any better, but I didn't get any trains either. My daughter won't play with it at her age, and I don't collect, but I have many nieces and nephews who would have loved it.
Oh, yes, he did get his trains (his sisters helped). I just meant in general that the target is the little kids, not the big ones that did it to craiglist the items and whatever else.

btw, I know you were looking for the Nivea Qs, which were hiden at WAG and were sitting in plain sight at RA. Big Grin PM me if you want some.

Find me a cheap ticket from Chicago and I'm on my way!
My mom grew up in Chicago. I remember going to visit my Grandmother when we were kids (she passed away several years ago). Chicago was such an exciting town compared to where we are from, especially to a 10 or 12 year old kid! I love the museums there! Isn't the museum of Science and Industry there?

I'm curious what Bloom stuff you've seen clearanced?? I've only seen it clearanced at one store (50% off)... I posted on the newly retired thread which ones (activity books & shopping game)... I'm wondering what else I might be missing....
I saw the neighborhood memory game, the lets play cook and count game, and the lets spin and play at the park game.

and for mom's with little ones me and my mom went to kohls today and they had a TON of little tanks and capri's in 3-24 months for a $1.00!!! Super super cute stuff. I also got a ton of shirts on clearance, they have a ton of stuff 90% off.

I hardly ever make it to the other sections of sd and i really appreciate when people post stuff like the thomas over here. my best friend's son is obsessed with thomas and she was able to get him two yesterday and i know she was extremely greatful....so thanks ladies!!!

I'm from Chicago and it still never ceases to amaze me the difference between the two cities. Everything is all highway here, so everything is just a car ride down the highway. I agree Chicago has a lot of cool things, but it's not quite as convenient when you live in the suburbs as opposed to here. I still can't get used to the pizza though.

For the love of God people...Please do not try to use 4 different TQ's on this diaper deal. Yeah, it might go through with a jedi but don't you think 4 tq's and 2 mq's on 2 items is a bit much?? Ya don't think it might draw a little unwanted attention??

You can do this deal legitimately and get very cheap diapers and wipes. Just think people, before you ruin it for a fellow SD'er that might shop at your store.

I guess the pizza from Chicago is better? Do they have mostly thin or thick crust? My husband likes the thick crust, and I like the thin crust. For some reason this reminds of someone in the regular Target thread talking about some crusty pm's. laugh out loud I was hungry when I read that, and all I could think about at that time was a flaky crispy crust. That is not what they meant of course! Big Grin

Do you like Imo's pizza? Now where I live that is all you can get Imo's or Pizza hut. Domino's is yucky (no toppings hardly on a breaded crust), but we don't have any around where we live now.

from wikipedia: Chicago-style pizza is a deep-dish pizza style developed in Chicago. The term also sometimes refers to "stuffed" pizza, another Chicago style. True Chicago-style pizza features a buttery crust, generous amounts of cheese and chunky tomato sauce. (Chicago also has many pizzerias serving thin-crust pizzas, some of which are in a style unique to the Windy City, but as a term Chicago-style pizza generally refers to deep-dish styles.

I lived in Evanston for a while - I'm not a fan of stuffed pizza... I like to eat pizza with my hands, not a fork Wink I got looked at funny the first time I tried it without using a fork laugh out loud

I moved from Phoenix to there and what a culture shock - lack of highways and the HORRID potholes (fixing busted tires got old...) - at least we had a (very tiny and half hidden behind an elevator shaft) view of the lake Smilie

Oh Thank-You! I went to Wags and looked for the coupons, and I couldn't find them. So they were hidden? I wish we had a RA. Hey Jen do you know about the drugstore in Wentzville? I think it is called Standard drugstore, but not sure of this name. Have you ever been there and if so, do they ever have any deals?

Oh buttery crust, now I am really getting hungry! I think I have to take an eating break. My husband helped me move things in my computer room the other day, and was vacuuming when I was out of the room. When I came back and saw him I said did you get under that computer by any chance, as I knew there were some food crumbs from my pigging out the night before. He said yeah and I vacuumed your key board and I don't think that all the food crumbs that came out of it are good for it. Embarrassment I said good thing I can probably get a new key board for nearly free with a good deal. I sit here and eat my Target food as I type sometimes. Well a girl has got to eat!

Ok... now I'm not quite as mad... but I still think they should have this Q go until the end date of the original Q. Also, why do I have a feeling that when I go to TRU tomorrow with my new Q, the shelves will still be empty????
I went to TRU tonight and the original TRU coupon is already NOT working/scanning at the register. I asked customer service when they were going to restock their Thomas trains and they said to come back on Thurs - the day AFTER the new coupon expires??! LMAO shake head

Ugh! I haven't even been to TRU once since the Thomas coupon came out. I was hoping to stock up on little boy toys! Oh well. I guess that's why I really never shop anywhere besides Target - they rarely let me down!

Posted this in deals but am not getting any sympathy!!! vomit
Ok, add me to THAT group... made so many mistakes, should have just left the cart and tried again later.
Long story short - everything was anaylzed - I was legit but using the 5/50 which scanned just fine. Denied gatorade so I was going to take it off the order, they forgot to take it off, I paid then said - oh, forgot this (at this point everything was cool but she was holding on the 5/50) Well - she decides she is going to refund my gatorade and then charge me for the $5 cpn. Ok - I am so not paying them money after they gave me a hard time, kept me forever, blah blah blah. So, she threatened to get AP involved, I said forget it, see ya. They followed me to try and get the license #, not sure if they did or not.

Yikes, I am feeling some stress right now, and totally pizzed bc I did not do anything wrong!! The only high note - my cashier was really nice and kept telling them "she has all that stuff"

Comfort

It'll be alright. I hate having a bad run, too, but remember, it's just Target, after all.... not the end of the world. Wink

That being said, IMHO, if everything really was "legit", then I wouldn't have necessarily high-tailed it after she mentioned AP. By doing so, you might have made yourself look more "guilty" than you really were. What's the worst AP can do? Give you 20 lashes w/a wet noodle for using an expired TQ? Whip

laugh out loud

Hope you have a better run next time... and maybe at a different Target. Wink

They have those camera flashes in Chicago, but I can gloat about it. laugh out loud Why? The camera only takes picture of your FRONT license plate and/or your photo (depends on the system). Being from Michigan, we DON'T have any front plates, just the back ones. Rock But, they do get me on the parking spot, since the signs can easily be misunderstood. (why do I can about snow days in spring, summer or fall?)
uggh. having both front and back license plates is a law here in CA. sadly, when i bought my car 3 years ago i didn't know that. i'm just driving along minding my own business. parking around, etc. imagine my surprise when one day about 6 months ago i went to remove what i though was advertising crap off my windshield and it was a ticket!

the ticket was for not having a front licence plate. (mind you, i'd been driving around in this car for over 2 years at that point.. i was even pulled over for speeding once and no one ever mentioned it.)
my first thought was.. wth, my car doesn't even have a mounting plate on the front to even put a plate?!?! i just had no idea. i was also mad, too. being i purchased this car from a dealer, should would have been nice if they had informed me of the law or made the car so it could hold both plates.

first things first. had to go to the dmv and order new plates. (after all, i only had 1 so how can i put another on that i don't have?)
they asked me to unscrew and turn in the back plate that i did have so they could issue a totally new plate number for me. i really felt retarded when 2 plates popped off the back of the car. i went back in and sheepishly told the lady.. uhh.. i guess i won't be needing new plates afer all. Blush3
apparently this is a rather common thing - she said she's seen that happen before where people bought cars from dealerships with plates mounted only on the back. they go to order another and whoops! all of a sudden the 2nd one shows up.
lucky for me at least it was a slow day at the dmv, i was in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. usually you have to wait at least 45.

next i take my car over to a friend's mechanic shop. obviously he knew much more about cars than i did. because the thingy that said "Pontiac" on the front bumper pops off to reveal the front mounting plate. bulb i swear to god i never knew it was there.

final stop - sheriff's office to have an officer sign off that my ticket offense had been corrected. and so my fee was reduced to $15 or something. it was at that time i was informed that clear plastic plate covers can also get you ticketed, so i might want to remove that. Wink dang it!! i was just not catching any breaks on this one. lol
tried to return the cover (purchased at walfart for like $3). they wouldn't take it back for anything. they shouldn't even be selling something that isn't legal like that. grrr. so.. that's part of the reason i pretty much avoid ever shopping there anymore. except for the all you mag. laugh out loud

anyway, so that's the story of my experience with license plates. shake head

to be honest, with scrutiny such as that, i would have just left instead of trying to 'fix' the gatorade issue. not every run goes exactly as planned and sometimes you have to 'eat' part of your transaction and either a) let it go or b) make a return. this is particularly true of ymmv coupons, which the gatorade coupon is - being that it is expired and most often used on the incorrect size. $5/$50 is also ymmv as it is expired.

that said, for something as minor as an inexpensive gatorade, i'd have just paid and not made a scene over it. (and not tried to do any returns, especially not then and there shake head )
had you done the same thing - you may not have had to worry about AP getting your plate #.

not trying to be mean or anything, but hopefully you learned something from this experience. and just for the record.. i'd avoid going back to that store again anytime soon if i were you. vomit
