This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Nope shake head wasn't talking about you attacking me (I didn't see it that way at all) just reminding people (and your post reminded me of it) that the current deal is a total YMMV and is NOT legit before we get any notions that it is. And that is exactly what I was talking about. I'm never an advocate for coupon abuse - to each their own. That's why I said that I didn't even know if I wanted to post the info - b/c I know that it could/will be abused, but, I can't stop that and neither can you or anyone else. So, it looks like maybe we were both putting out the same PSA (public service announcement) Big Grin

Saw this on the MSNBC web page:

Midland-based Dow said it will raise the prices of its products by as much as 25 percent in July after implementing across-the-board price increases of up to 20 percent on June 1.

The company makes everything from the propylene glycols used in antifreeze, coolants, solvents, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, to acrylic acid-based products used in detergents, wastewater-treatment and disposable diapers. Its products are sold in 160 countries

OK, question of the day.
I am secret shopping Target today. Have to spend at least $50, with NO coupons used. What would you buy?

I used to do that years ago, secret shopping was so much fun.

Clothes, books, sunglasses, depends on what you need. Do you get to keep it or do you have to return it as part of the shop?

I get to keep it, they reimburse $30 of the $50, so not a bad deal. Just kills me to walk in that store and not use coupons! Stick Out Tongue

Then $30 worth of something you want, $20 of something you can return later with the gift receipt. I know you have to send them your receipt but you don't have to send them your gift receipt!!!

Maybe fancy origins face products or something like that? Hard Lisa, depends on what you need/want

Just wanted to share w/you all a very proud moment in my life:

Last night I go to the Dollar store and purchase:

-- 4 pregnancy tests

-- 2 bags of hot n' spicy Chex mix
(to use my 2 $1/1 IPQs that were expiring that day-- Dollar General has it for $1.25 regular price)

The only person working there was a 20ish guy w/a shaved head and lots of tatoos (who I should say was very nice to me-- said hello when I came in and asked me if I found everything OK).

My total is $4.78-- but I only have $3 in cash, so I go to use my regular cc, which is Amex. Turns out they don't take Amex, so he has to cancel the transaction so I can use Visa. At this point I know I am blushing but also totally cracking up on the inside.

I can just imagine what he was thinking. Big Grin "This old lady came in last night and bought all these pregnancy tests and Chex Mix!!?? And she had to use a credit card to pay for it." LMAO

Oh, and I thought this was funny too-- as I was going in there was a guy leaving who was on a motorcycle, and wearing the full on leather outfit-- and he had a giant thing of toilet paper bungeed to the back of his bike. laugh out loud
