RETIRED: Target Chit Chat

did you get the midstreams or the strips? if strips, what has your experience been with them? (i've never used them before, but would consider them if results were the same as midstream tests and testing was easy to read/do.)

I had terrible run at Target today.
My items were ok, but chose wrong casher, I guess.
I used 5/50 ETQ w/o any problem since my total was over $50.
The casher wasn't happy that I had Qs- he was upset even when I gave him first Q. He kept pressing total key that asking how to pay.

I purchased 1 silk and used $2 MQ and $.50 TQ. He refused TQ, but I told him that was store policy, so he finally scanned and scolded me.
Got 2 Reynolds refill using $2 starter kit Q, but it was ok with him.
Got 8 hefty travel size and used 8 $1 Qs- manager(?) came and read and said ok to scan. He was upset even manager told him to do so.
Got Zout and for some reason, the screen indicated Q not for item , but since I got that, he pushed it.
Bascailly he checked all my items matching with Qs.
Got 2 Glad flameless candles and used $3 MQ, B1G1 MQ, and 1 free TQ which was perfectly fine regarding their policy.
He first entered the price of $3 for B1G1 while the price was $9.xx. When I pointed that to him, he kept saying I couldn't use 2 Qs while I got 2 items (I didn't even give him TQ at that time)
Got 6 combination of stages and zooth toothbrushes and gave him 2 B1G1 Qs first. He scolded me again for Q using. When I gave him last Q, he refuesed saying he scanned 3 times already. Manager was standing there from half of my transaction. Manager refused to take one more toothbrush Q, so I asked him to void 2 of them because I won't be able to use Q for those. Manager said ok, but he kept lying to him saying I used too many wrong Qs (he meant Glad B1G1 free and free TQ) and said he scanned 3 Qs while he only did 2.

He was complainging whole transaction that I used wrong Qs and finally manager (he wasn't nice either) told him to give him all the Qs that I gave to check. End of the transaction, he wrote time, registration # and took my Qs. They were both looking at me and made me feel like I was real criminal to use Qs, so they needed to investigate my transaction. Of course, my receipt clearly stated that he scanned 2 toothbrush Qs, not 3.

...My advice would be to lay low try another Target they may forget you in a bit and even tho you didnt do anything wrong It really doesnt make for a pleasent shopping trip with the reds breathing down your neck....

I always tell everyone to suck it up when they are trying to get away with non legit q's and get attitude but I'd call on that one. That's BS, you had legit q's and did nothing wrong

In some cases, they don't appear to ever forget a person. When I check out, the red phone rings as soon as I show any coupons. I just take in stride, smile and wave to the camera.

I think it all started back with the Ocello clearance where the LOD was insisting on "1 coupon per transaction" for 10 clearance Ocellos with 1 MQ + 1 TQ. He stood there and made the poor cashier ring me up 10 separate times and I paid less than $0.10 each time. I went back there about a month later for the Pantene deal and the red phone rang when it was my turn to checkout. I guess it wasn't a good idea to ask him if I was a Target guest or a Targeted guest.

If anyone else is selling T GC's on ebay... can ya send me a PM please? I got sooo many during P10 and the razors that I kept enough to keep me rolling for AWHILE and have been selling the rest off in small increments... The money I make goes into our vacation fund

Man I really must have been doing something wrong with that promotion. I just kept rolling gc's never got a stack of them.

I think I have 25 something in my purse from my diaper dealing. I am hoping since Friday is a holiday, hubby will get paid early and I can go to Target! I NEED soda and ice cream, oh yeah diapers too, and maybe some toys......

You must have because She has close to $1K, I have $800 and others reported similar amounts. Makes it a lot easier when runs go back now, I find it easier to eat the 6 or 8 bucks in missed coupons.

Seriously 800 in gc's wow I want to be you when I grow up. Hubby would have me buying him something if I had that much.

I keep rolling my diaper gc's, havent spent anything oop this past week

Tonight oldest son and I are sorting all my dumped q's, and seperating tearpads to share, and cutting inserts. I have also been making little envelopes in my box of what I get everytime.

Oh and Double, Ryan has been learning more letters, he knows over 1/2 the alphabet, by sight and saying them. So hubby actually said any toys, books or anything that has to do with learning, I am encouraged to buy. He would also have no problwm with me getting a big wheel, he loved his as a kid too.

ahhh the throwing of toys and the wiggling and throwing a fit for diaper changes, the joys of parenthood.

I have seen that book as well, but havent gotten it yet. He doesnt really like the talking books.

I did see peelies for 6.00 off wyb Handy Manny and a Little Einstein video. I used it with 2 Handy Manny's and 2 muppet q's, it made my one muppet beep but was easily k1'd. But the Peelie itself doesnt beep so 6 bucks off isnt too bad if you are out of muppets q's. I am nit out of those yet, still have to 4 each off of all the other 3 computers along with Planters!
