Hey, guys. A while back, someone posted about a New 3DS deal from a new store called VIP Outlet, and there's been a few other topics related to the site that have posters with a decent amount of feedback/posts saying they had no trouble using them.

Anyway, I saw that the New 3DS listed above went back up on their site a few days ago and decided to take a chance on it (using a temporary virtual card number, of course), but my order was literally cancelled within a few seconds of placing it. I didn't think it was a big deal at the time, especially since the 3DS listing in question completely disappeared from their site after I tried ordering it, but I was checking my credit card account this morning and noticed that they still charged me for it. I don't doubt that I'll have no trouble getting it overturned, but it's still a minor hassle and obviously doesn't speak well for the trustworthiness of their site.

If anyone else notices a good-looking deal from them posted on here, be wary (if the fact that it's a new site didn't set off any warning bells already!). Here are screenshots of my cancellation email (note the date) and the charge that showed up on my credit card a few days later, if anyone would like proof of what I'm claiming:

This seller is fishy.... I ordered same items through walmart.com and ebay. They cancelled my orders without any explanations, while the item is in stock on both walmart and ebay.

Against my better judgement I placed an order on vipoutlet.com. The reviews about this company were pretty bad, but the price on the item I needed was so inexpensive I took the chance. When I didn't receive any correspondence from them regarding shipping, I contacted the company. I was told there was a glitch in their system that caused my order to be canceled. I asked why I wasn't notified (even by email), and she couldn't explain it. Then tried to tell me they were hacked and the hacker canceled my order. And to add insult to injury, I was told I'd have to call my bank to cancel the payment. Can't make this stuff up folks!! Bad business!

Well, I wished I had better experience with this company but my story falls much like the others. I bought an Apple watch series 4 with cellular that was supposed to be grade A. This was when they were offering 15% off their items. I bought one and then asked them to cancel because ebay had an 8% ebay bucks and I wanted to take advantage of it. They told me that it wouldn't be an issue to return it.
I ordered a second Apple watch to take advantage of the deal. Soon, I received both watches and both were grade B rather than grade A. I told them about it but they refuse to do an even exchange or discount the watch that I already received. We've been going in circles and the only option they give is to return it. This company does not understand that they messed up and they're so incredibly unwilling to correct their mistake.

I purchased a TV from them through eBay and the estimate delivery was between June 18-June 20th, 2019. The tracking they provided was a fake tracking number which shows nothing when looked up on FedEx.com I contacted them and they asked me to fill out a claim form so they file with the carrier (BS, they never even shipped the order). Had to file a dispute with my CC which will take another while for me to get my money back.

I've bought two more things from them since my last post, and both had no issues, looked brand new except a distressed box. I think maybe scratch and dent new stock ends up resold there.

The thing more puzzling to me is their prices can vary wildly. One day they'll have item X for $40. A few days later they'll have it for $80, both same classified "Grade A" condition. In one case I bought the widget at $40 and it had nothing wrong (to account for a lower value price).

Some items in Grade A even cost a lot more than the regular new/retail sale prices elsewhere. Makes little sense, I'm not talking about very large or heavy items that would cost a lot to freight-rate ship opposed to the normal UPS/etc route truck.

Anyway I feel bad for those of you who had bad experiences, but I've encountered nothing that would deter me from shopping there again, but this is very largely due to their offering free return shipping and the 90 day warranty. The down side is that 90 days is all you get, instead of the longer warranty many items have if sold at full retail from authorized distributors. Make sure you're happy with what you receive.

I purchased a Vizio P series TV from VIPOutlet 2 weeks ago. The tracking number from FedEx indicates they made a shipping label but have never actually shipped the TV. When I made my purchase, 16 of the particular model was available and only a few had sold. Contacting them was no good...basically told me they'd wait a few days for FedEx to update and if not, they'd issue a refund. That's BS if I've ever heard it but that's where I'm at now. If thats what happens, that means I'll just be screwed. There were many deals available at the time and those deals are gone now. Buying season for TVs is over. For people out there doing there research and stuck on the fence, don't buy from VIPOutlet. I saw the huge number of positive transactions and in my mind, it made the relatively high number of negative transactions not seem so bad. That was poor logic on my part and hopefully I can save others from falling for the same thing. They have 10 positive transactions for each negative one...that was my thinking and it was wrong. The correct thinking would've been to notice the 1k+ negative transactions and realizing that VIPOutlet wouldn't have that many if it wasn't shady and doing wrong to begin with.

I've used VIP Outlet through the Walmart associate discount center for a few years now and I have not had one bad experience. I got my refurbished PS4 for a great price and it has been working perfectly. I have even bought items for friends including a TV and Beats Headphones. I purchased toys and bed sheets for my child and have had no issues with any. The only trouble I have ever had was my own fault. I accidentally had the wrong address selected as shipping address when it was different from my billing address. I was able to fix it after the item had shipped. I was surprised about that.

I was willing to give them a chance due to having like 96% positive feedback on ebay. I bought a 512gb Note 9. They sent me a 128gb model. I reached out to them the next day to try to see if I could get it exchanged. Radio silence. I'm not going to spend hours trying to get ahold of them, and do I really trust them enough to do an exchange and possibly limit myself out of ebay's guarantee? So I put in a SNAD return request on ebay, and ebay approved it. It says to wait for them to send a label. They still haven't sent a label 3 days later, and still no reply. I didn't feel so bad buying from them on ebay as I am pretty well protected by ebay, but I would not buy from them anywhere else. It's pretty much a gamble. You might get a good deal, or you might get the wrong item, but what you will get is pretty much zero support. And if they are this bad at customer service, how good are their refurbishment skills? Screw these guys.

I'd pass on VIPOutlet. They are finally giving me a refund but id have never got that if I hadn't inquired. If I hadn't said anything, they'd have acted like I got my purchase and moved on. They've been ridiculously poor as a seller.

So, first off I'm very sorry for everyone that has had a bad encounter with VIPOutlets, but you must understand that they are human, not robots, things happen, as for my encounter I must say it's been the complete opposite. I bought my dell G5 i7 on labor day Saturday, I was attracted to it because Walmart would NOT sell me there stupid display model because "it's still in shipping" and online they had the 2nd cheapest one available, including the $80 overnight shipping (because I'm impaitient) so I obviously jumped on the opportunity and sent over my 700 dollars to this stranger I've never ordered from, dumb move by me as I ALWAYS check ratings before hand. Anyways after the fact I started doing my research, holy crap that's alot of good reviews, oh wait... that's alot of bad reviews!! So obviously as someone that turns to google for medical advise I start digging in on what I could find, BBB, trust pilot, ect, for 3 days straight i was reading up on how horrible VIPO is and how they don't care, and that they dont send the products and if youre one of the few that does get your product igs usually damaged or the wrong item, oh and have fun getting your refund. So im sure you can understand the amount of stress I was feeling after spending so much. Well let me tell you... ever since day 1, on a holiday weekend and even on the holiday VIPO communicated and answered all my questions and assured me that they will help with any problems, sounds good but anyone can SOUUUUND good. I wanted my product on time and unbroken and that's what I got. Tuesday by the time I woke up my package had shipped and had a tracking number, Wednesday before I woke up I had a very nice undamaged box (slightly hard to open I'll say) just waiting for me to tear open and be delighted or disappointed. Well I am delighted, i not only recieved my laptop, but it wasnt scratch, no smudges, booted up fast. I even downloaded and started playing Assassins Creed Odyssey which runs way better than it did on my Dell G5 i5! Now this is just a documentation of MY PERSONAL experience with VIPO. They very well may be the cheating scumbag liars that everyone is accusing them of being but as for me they were extremely fast and professional and i have no problem throwing my money to them again after this experience, if they let me down next time i will join the bandwagon with a honest bad review, but for now I'm happy.

tldr

Made a late night, impulsive, expensive purchase on a laptop I probably didn't need
Bad reviews worried me all weekend
Got the laptop on time and in better condition than thought

STAY EXTREMELY FAR AWAY FROM VIPOUTLET!

DO NOT BUY FROM VIPOUTLET.COM!

The main factor that you should consider here is that VIPOUTLET.COM is OWNED by the same company that OWNS DirectLiquidation, the company name that encompasses both of these entities is GO TRG, which an electronics recycling company.

20200 W Dixie Highway Suite 1005
Aventura, FL 33180
United States

They try to push their main company "Go TRG" as this Business Solutions & SaaS
for Multi-Channel Sales and Supply Chain outfit but basically they help the bigger named companies get rid of their store returns and defective items.

Essentially their business is to take the best store returns and sell them on VIPOUTLET.com -- remember they are buying back these used customer returns or defective items at pennies on the dollar and reselling it for at least a 600% profit margin. Yes this is normal in this industry. They also do not take paypal or any forms of payment other than debit or credit card directly on their site. On top of this, they claim to use AmazonPay, yet upon contacting amazon the company is not registered for AmazonPay (yet another red flag as there might be another business entity set up for these payments).

I ordered an item on 8/27 and have yet to see it delivered. I've got on their chat, which gives me the same information recycled over and over again; that I need to give it 3 days and then they will process a refund. A reminder to this is that my purchase dates is 8/27 and if I wait until 9/7 that is already 13 days out of my 30 day return policy. My item was scheduled to be delivered on 9/4 and now there is no scheduled delivery date. When I called customer service here is my experience thus far:

1.) Called their number listed here: https://vipoutlet.com/contact/ around 7:30 PM on 8/28 and I got the out of office voicemail yet they are supposed to be open until 9PM EST.

2) Called again, as my order tracking was showing no movement, was told that I just had to wait for 3 days after the potential missed delivery for them to provide a refund, mind you they claim there is no way to resend an item as "Their system is automated". I asked to speak to a supervisor and was immediately told "They were all in a meeting" and "There was no clue as to when they would be out". I was placed on hold and eventually just hung up.

3). Called again and was told that my order was delayed by the shipper and I had to wait until the delivery was missed and then give them a call back immediately to process a refund, the chat person told me the same thing (but as stated above, their policies seem to differ)

4). Called again, this time was the worst. I called and got a woman named Ken or something with a Filipino accent whom seemed to be working from home, as you heard a child crying in the background. This woman took my order info and then stated that I would be put on hold, the entire time (she didn't put me on hold or at least forgot to) she was typing away on a keyboard and laughing in the background -- it seemed like she took her headphone off or put the phone down as I kept asking for an update and received nothing. Finally i hung up, called back and got the same woman whom I asked why did she ignore me and she literally stated "It wasn't me", so I hung up again and called for a 4th time hoping to reach another rep and before I even said anything the same woman answered and said, "I checked your order tracking an the shipment is delayed, can you wait another few days".

I'm still waiting for a package, next step is to chargeback and then make sure that NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE PLASTERED ABOUT THIS COMPANY ALL OVER.

They will take your money and then not provide anything after the purchase!

I ordered that Onn tablet that was posted a couple days ago here https://slickdeals.net/f/13393021-onn-android-tablet-10-1-16gb-navy-blue-wi-fi-refurbished-35-74?v=1

.... and I just checked my account and the order says cancelled. Yet I never received any cancellation email or notice. It also says in their F&Q that they do not charge your card until the order ships. Well that's a lie as my order never shipped yet they took they money out of my account. Says it can take up to 3 days for refund to re-appear ... it's been 4 I purchased using Amazon payments on VIPoutlet website and when I try to file a A-Z Claim on amazon It won't let me I get this error "You cannot file an A-to-z Guarantee claim at this time. " I would recommend anyone to not use this website, it's sad that slickdeals let's this garbage be posted.

Looks like majority of the positive reviews are from posters who only have one post and join recently. That smell fishy. I was going to buy something from them but doesn't seem to worth all the trouble you might get.

So I saw a Vizio TV for sale at a great price. I went through checkout, and paid via an AMEX card that had plenty of room on it- I've been an AMEX customer for almost 20 years and have lived at the same billing address for over 12. Later that day, I get an email that I need to send in a picture of my card and a state ID, front and rear of both. That usually is a huge red flag, but I redacted my personal info on the ID and all barcodes after scanning them so all they had was the last 4 of the card. I redacted the info by pasting either "VIP Outlet 11/25/19" or my order number over all of it. BTW, they had charged the AMEX and it showed as "pending".

A day later I get another email, this time saying they had received my info. Later that day I get another fraud department concern email and they said the order was canceled and the card had been refunded. I checked their site, and the TV was not listed- where did it go? I also checked AMEX, and guess what- still "pending".

In addition to this post, since I'm retired & have time on my hands, I'll leave negative reviews wherever possible. Since they are a Florida company and I'm a Florida resident, so I'm going to go one step further and file a consumer complaint for fraud with the Attorney General. AFAIK, this was a phishing scheme to get a copy of a credit card and state ID.

UPDATE 11/27/19: After posting a negative review, I got an email from the parent company The Recon Group Inc. They claimed the TV did not meet their standards for sale, and they could not find an equivalent model, so the transaction had been canceled. This changing of the story gives credibility that they are engaged in fraudulent activity. I have transmitted a complaint to the Florida Attorney General.

My "brand new" 2017 ipad that I ordered from them had another customers information in it! Had their calendar, phone numbers, pictures, everything! Was it worth my time & effort to return it? Not really. I just reset it and now I have a USED 2017 ipad for about the same price I'd have paid anywhere else... or maybe a little more. :-(
