my guess is they are pretty similar. I think giant actually produces the frames for a lot of other companies anyways so quality is likely the same.

other than that it is just the parts bolted to the frame. I would get whatever feels most comfortable

This bike has been on clearance at this price for awhile now, not to mention they've only got the 19" frame model.

It was on sale in 12/15 and back on sale now. pls disregard if u r not interested. Its exactly same as the GT transeo 4.0.

Dont trust Dick's inventory system. It said there were none within 100 miles of where I live, so I just dropped by and they had a couple female bikes and a bunch of male bikes in different frame sizes.

Picked 2 up (female and male versions). For street and light grass riding, it does great. Feels solid and doesnt creek or click anywhere. Shifting is good as well.

Coupon also works like a champ

Thanks OP, purchased to replace the GT Avalanche that was stolen from me. Insurance did not cover it, but $220 for the display felt pretty reasonable.

They wouldn't discount the bike itself anything more than listed even though it was the floor model (I tried)... But they threw in a kickstand & air pump adapter gratis. With & $20 off coupon and for such a decked out bike at this price point it's a huge win. Helmet happened to be $10 off as well (Giro Indicator).

I got additional $20 off because the floor model has some scratches and scuff mark. Happy for the purchase.

What do you guys think about the extended protection plan? I think it's pretty good deal for me, since I don't know how to maintain and adjust bike, and one tune up os alraDy the price of the extended plan.
