Pokemon Goooooooooooooooooo

Two men trying to catch Pokemon instead caught some serious air after they fell off a cliff in San Diego on Wednesday, authorities said.

The two pokédopes were chasing the virtual reality monsters using the "Pokemon Go" app, a smartphone game that puts an overlay on a user's surroundings. They ignored warning signs and crossed a fence bordering the edge of a beachside cliff, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department confirmed.

One man fell 75 to 100 feet before hitting the beach and catching a life guard's attention, Encinitas Fire Battalion Chief Robert Ford estimated. The other man fell about 50 feet before becoming stuck. That man was found unconscious [nbcsandiego.com], NBC San Diego reported.

"That's a significant fall," Ford said. First responders had to rappel from the top of the cliff to reach the trapped man.

Bigeye The Pokemon Go players are like Zombies, minus the brain munching.

They're taking over the parks, there's no room for anyone to walk their dog, fly a kite, etc.

Not a bad idea to keep dogs away.

Here is my Pokemon story.

Took my son to the "Plaza las Delicias" or in English my cities version of downtown and a municipal police officer accidentally fired his gun hitting a lady in the ankle.

Accidentally? Did he forget how the gun's safety latch works before he accidentally pulled the trigger?

Accidentally as in negligently. Also most guns used by LEO do not have safeties (besides the fact that your finger should never be on the trigger unless you are going to shoot).

It's just called a safety. Also genghiskhan's post is correct. Many modern handguns have safeties built into the grips and/or trigger. So the gun will not shoot unless you are holding it in the correct firing position, no need to mess with a safety.

If you are not familiar with the operation of a handgun I advise you to take a beginner's class at your local range. Most ranges charge about $50 for 2-4 hours of instruction, going over how a gun work, how to hold it and aim, and some range time. It is an extremely valuable life skill that everyone needs, right up there with swimming and cooking. You never know when you may need to use one.

We gonna start this nonsense again? I'm game.

Did you hear the Canadians have been taking drugs in their international sports and are probably gonna be banned from the Olympics?

Son, I've been shooting guns longer than you've been alive and I'm a darn good shot. It runs in the family, my grandfather and great-great-grandfather won trophies for their shooting. I never had the time or desire growing up to practice regularly so never got into competitive shooting like they did but I was a natural at it like they were. My preference was dove hunting, which is tricky if you're not a good shot but I was and to make it more interesting and to save my shoulder (since I didn't hunt that often) I used a 410, instead of the typical shotgun. The smaller shot pattern, made it more of a fair game for the doves IMHO.

I know it's called a safety but you're easy to play with and very predictable, yet mildly entertaining and it's a slow day in the lounge.

tl;dr?

You've been played, again.
