Things are going to start happening to me now...

Actually...wtf? seriously, we had a phone book dropped off at our front door today. As in a physical phone book.

So they really do still exist.

And yes, I looked up my name. I'm not in my local phone book; we've lived in this house for 5 years. And we still have a landline (well, through the cable company since it was cheaper to take the home phone service as a bundle than to do without the home phone).

They used to deliver them here (twice a year Facepalm) but after reading your post it dawned on me that they haven't done that the last couple of years. Knock wood.

I don't think we've had them dropped off in a couple of years either. I think this is a different company that printed them in the past, so I guess they think people will actually use them. Crazy

We get three separate books every year. And we have never had a landline here. DD likes the big magnets that come on the front. I would call (I'm not even sure where) to discontinue them but it does give someone a job, even if only temporarily, to deliver them and someplace has to print them. We recycle them so I don't feel too bad.

We still get them here. A couple of different versions. As far as I remember they are still coming via USPS. And I am still in it every year.

That's what I used to think too, until I found out years ago that most recycling places can't actually process them, they send them off to a landfill. Can't recall exactly why but it has something to do with the type of paper and/or the binding of the books.
