Seattle - I'm going there *UPDATE* #30

31,994 3,053 July 30, 2016 at 09:34 AM in Travel & Vacations
So I'll be in Seattle on Friday. It's a whirlwind tour.

What should I do? Where should I eat? I will likely need to be in a reasonable radius around the airport. Which local brewery should I try?

I wouldn't say "up" considering how low your boobs are hanging.

If you like Asian food
http://www.yelp.com/biz/mango-tha...bar-seatac

Their pork belly is delicious

There is also a BBQ restaurant nearby

If I recall correctly they have a wheel they spin every hour and that's the discount they have on the craft beer?

If you got more than 1-2 hours to spare you can always hit the pike market

So? How was it? Did you notice me that woman who was stalking you when you arrived at Seatac?

Isn't The Raddish going to be in Seattle today? Did you stalk the wrong person?

So...I'm back!

It was a whirlwind trip, but a fun one. I can definitely see why people like the PNW, it really has a lot to offer.

Part of my trip was driving on 90 over them mountains to the high desert, and wow what a dichotomy of landscapes! I had no idea that part of Washington was a desert. It went from 70 to 98 in a matter of about 15 miles.

The trip over the mountains was breathtakingly beautiful, and on the return trip back to Seattle it seemed the road just kept going down hill forever. Just when I thought I was approaching the bottom, it kept going for another 20 miles!

I walked around a bit on Broadway, and down on the pier by the Ferris Wheel. I ate at the Crab Pot and got King, Snow, and Dungeoness crab.

Never made it to the Space Needle, but I saw it a few times from a distance.

The floating bridge on 90 was interesting, especially the tunnel at the end as it goes into Mercer Island, with houses right over the roadway!

Downtown Seattle from the highway was gorgeous, perhaps one of the most gorgeous downtown cities I've ever seen. Everything had a greenish tint to it, giving credence to the moniker "Emerald City".

I was struck by the fact that everyone was wearing jackets in the heat of the summer. It makes me think how cold it must be all year long.

Mercer Island had to be one of the most densely populated places I've seen from a housing perspective. All the houses were quite literally right on top of each other, and with everyone having their windows open all the time it made me wonder how one could ever get any privacy at all, really.

I don't think I'd ever want to live on Mercer Island, but other areas were nice, especially the stretch between Renton and North Bend. I never went south of Seatac though so I can't speak for the Southern end of the city.

Traffic sucked ass.

The Boeing Plant was ginormous. I knew it would be, but actually seeing it from the highway, wow!

I didn't get a chance to use the Light Rail, but infrastructure for it was fascinating, especially downtown.

I'd like to go back and spend some more time there.
