First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

It smells like hickory smoked bacon. I mean not as good as the real thing obviously but surprisingly good nonetheless. It has a slight taste to it. You can really smell it though.

OMG..Jamie has had a crick in his neck for 2 days. Tonight, I gave him a muscle relaxer to try to loosen it up. I fall asleep about 30-45 minutes after I take it. It's been almost 2 hours for him and he's still all Woot

My mom's the same way. She has some muscle relaxer for her back and she passes out. She'll give me one every now and again and three hours later she's all "How can you NOT be sleepy?" lol

Does Jamie get tired when you give him benadryl or does he get hyper from that?

He gets sleepy from Benedryl, but not much else. When he has surgery, they gave him tylenol3 w/ codiene..he was pretty young. They said he'd sleep most of the day. Yeah...not a wink.

i didn't get sleepy from codiene or feel super happy. i feel gypped. yeah, i had to insult gypsies to point out how dissappointed i was.
