CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

i'm sri lankan. i have 3 aunts/uncles on one side, 8 uncles/aunts on the other and multiple cousins. i have many mixed families of different religions and so on. majority are buddhist but we gift a lot. there are relatives i don't like, and ignore. yes it causes drama.

like i said earlier its my opinion. regifting is a LOT lower than ignoring them. i have no problem with you giving something you have to someone you can use it. giving it in the pretense of a gift is IMO low.

I meant mixed as in remarriages.

I don't buy for aunts and uncles or cousins either - way too many.

My aunts and uncles? Not something sitting out that they may have seen before. But something I'd received from no one they knew that I thought they would like, yes under certain circumstances.

I also used to keep a gift drawer - you probably wouldn't like that idea either. As I would find things I liked on sale - like candles for example - I would buy them and keep them for when I needed gifts last minute. So I never bought any of those items specifically for the person I gave them to.

I wonder how common that is. Scratchchin

I still want to know what that was. laugh out loud I feel like whatever it was either made him feel vulnerable (something wrong) or made him happy (he ate a mouse or whatever) so he started trusting me. I mean... isn't it odd to go from not coming within 5 feet of me to literally adopting me as your new owner? Huh

I've let him come in a few times (in fact, he typed a message to arj lol), but my allergies are going CRAZY. I'm falling for the little guy. Frown I want him to have a forever home.

I looked closer at his paw and he lets me touch it as much as I want. I don't feel anything obvious. I did notice a very small spot (like TINY) of blood that was stuck in his hair that was right on the joint. I'm wondering if that's just sore? He still won't put even the slightest bit of pressure on it.
I hope it's not something small stuck in his paw. Frown
Next time you get close to him, scruff him and hold him so his body goes limp. Then you can attempt to check out the paw. If you saw a spot of blood on his leg that goes toward the infection theory. can you bend the leg?

Wave Good morning! Stupid multi-quote crapped out on me. Annoyed Spencer is cute. Girly

I have a "prize closet" full of birthday gifts for kids in the 4-7 age range. Once you start getting invited to a zillion birthday parties it gets REALLY old going to the store for each kid. Instead I stocked up on a bunch of the Moon Sand kits when they were $5, board games when they go on sale, Webkinz, etc.

I see nothing wrong with regifting, especially in BH's situation. She was already done buying for her step-MIL and actually was thoughtful enough to realize she would enjoy the added gift.

I also see nothing wrong with gift drawers/closets. I have a gift closet, too. My kids are invited to numerous birthday parties per month (sometimes a dozen or more a month!) and I can't afford to go out and buy a $20-25 gift each time. So, I buy clearance things valued that much (or more) at a greatly reduced price. Heck, I did 90% of my Christmas shopping from Amazon just for the reduced prices, no tax and free prime shipping. It is all about saving money to me.

Yeah, I can bend the leg. It's weird because I can touch the leg as much as I want; he just won't put pressure on it.
He's so farking cute. I'm going out today to buy him a warmer blanket (can't find anything at home).
