CVS Info:

First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

wave Back from dentist with the kids. No cavities Yahoo! Weird thing.....Mc lost her lower front teeth several months ago and her adult teeth are fully in. She has had this white thing on her gums below her new teeth. It looked like a piece of skin but was hard/pointy. I finally remembered to ask the dentist about it. EEK! It was part of her baby tooth that broke off from the tooth and was still attached! Just the tip was poking out of the gum. He applied some numbing gel and pulled it out with the forceps.

I heart the kids dentist office. Mc was so scared and the dentist explained everything and even gave her a mirror to watch what he was doing. After he was done he gave her a big hug and let her pick out lots of stuff from the treasure chest. I swear, they have the greatest dentist and staff EVER. My kids don't have a single fear of going to the dentist.

I saw that. Most of what I get will be more than $50. I did print it out already. Didnt I rep you for it Thrift?
Anything between $50 and $99 would be better to use the $10/$50 anything above $100 use the 10%. Do you have to get a new lav, tub/shower etc? We will be converting one of the walkin closets in our room to a bath so DH has been stalking HD clearance. He got a bitchen deal on a nice vanity last week.

That's what the internet is for. I re-did my 1/2 bathroom by myself (my wife helped a little bit when she had time), the only thing I didn't do is move the plumbing. And the only reason I didn't, is we live in a condo and I'd need all sorts of paperwork to get it done, so I worked around it -- tiled the floor, walls and ceiling (yes that's right); ran new wiring to the ceiling and installed new lighting there; installed a new exhaust fan (and moved it); moved the electrical outlet; installed a new shitter; installed a new sink/vanity and hooked up all the plumbing.

How did I learn? Through boredom at work and surfing DIY sites laugh out loud

Wire caps?

What's wrong with your outlet? If the outlet itself is busted, but the wires inside the wall are still fine it's a 5 minute fix.
Yea wire caps. I bought a new outlet, just dont feel like changing it right now. I'm being lazy. My nephew ran new wires about a year ago. ( he knows what he's doing..lol ) Well he put in GFI's because I run an electric heater, not that GFI's are needed in a bedroom.
Anyways the outlet's been feeling warm lately since I unplugged a vacuum, and the outlet loosened from the wall. Well a few nights ago the GFI popped and wouldn't go back on. So I shut the Breaker off in the basement and went out and bought a new outlet. Opened it up and the live wire coming in from outlet #1 must have slid out a little and the wire touched the coating on the live wire going to outlet #3 and burnt through it in one spot. So everything shorted out.
Now I have a small slice in that wire coating exposing the live wire. Debating if I feel like cutting the wire down and hooking up the new outlet. Or just slapping some electrical tape on the cut and cap off the ends so I can still use outlet #1 and # 3. And wait for him to fix it..

Bet you are sorry you asked what was wrong huh? Rofl2

That's different though. It took me 4 months of night work to get the bathroom done, if I took a week off from work, I'd have it done in a full week, but I didn't want to spend vacation time on it laugh out loud

Not at all, I enjoy DIY stuff. And I am an electrical engineer Tomato

I thought you said he knew what he was doing? Wink If he knew what he was doing this wouldn't happen Stick Out Tongue

If it were me, and I'd have slack in the line, I'd pull the burnt wire out a little bit and cut it off. But I'm more of a perfectionist. Electric tape is meant to withhold shock and should protect it just as well, if not better, than the "rubber" coating on top of the wire in your wall.

That seems like an easy fix, but laziness is a bitch.

laugh out loud Yea theres no studs to screw it into, and the thing was in there pretty good. But when I yanked the Vacuum out I guess I pulled it too hard.
/ thats what he said

Theres enough slack for me to fix it. Plus I'd rather have it done then wait for him, he's pretty sick so it could be weeks. But either way it's about the same amount of work. So I'll probably replace it instead of capping it off. It will annoy me seeing it capped instead of the outlet there. The burnt spot is only about a half inch in, so not too bad.
Just being lazy..laugh out loud

Too bad you're not a damn plumber and you could come and fix my faucet...you know, the one we just remodeled with in February? Because Robert is being incredibly lazy about it.

Does anyone have one of those little coat rack/hook things that hang on the wall? I need one for Jack and Jamie's room. How much are they?
