This is what I'm doing right now too... or at least attempting to. I have a cat laying on my right, a dog laying on my left... and a cat and dog laying in front of me on my piles. shake head
Sounds like me laugh out loud They wait til the qs are nice and spread out and dive like kids on a pile of leaves!

Where I live you can buy Sunday papers @ Walgreen's for 75 or @ Walmart for 98
Do you live in Heaven? We pay $1.50 here and then I have to recycle all the papers at work, they have burning of papers where I live. Could you imagine the bonfire of all the newspapers if I attempted to burn them! EEK!

thats not a bad idea. i didnt know they sold the paper. but otherwise if you want another its $1.75 at grocery stores or street corners
Have you tried hitting up a gas station or convenience store late Sunday night or Monday morning? That's how alot of peeps get extra inserts too. The stores send the papers back for credit, but some don't mind if you take the inserts. Others will look at you like you're crazy and say they can't give them to you., but it's worth a shot.

That's where I try and get my SF Chronicle from!! I heart that it is only $0.99 there!!! bounce I usually can only get 3-4 from each longs, but I have two stores that are very close to my house!! Then when the Longs is out I walk down to the 7/11 that is right there and get the rest laugh out loud I always check them before I buy them also!!!
yes, they do have the papers $.99. however, they only sell Ventura County Star here.. which is the paper that is filled with mostly ads in the coupon inserts, and often has 1 less insert than the Times. yikes! so is better to pay the $.50 more and get a kajillion more coupons. (i only buy Star on p&g weeks because it gets the covergirl/ max coupons whereas l.a. times does not.)
i do have a longs a few blocks away, as you said - they have very few papers. other locations are too far away to be worth the drive for the paper savings (even farther away than my Wags EEK! )
if they sold the Times it'd soo be worth it. but they don't. so unfortunately.. for paying less for a paper i also get less coupons there.

yep. most get sold out, the few that are left are a no go on the inserts. Sadwalk
no kind-hearted souls in my area! (either that or they keep the coupons for themselves laugh out loud)

cvs sells their Sunday papers such that AFTER tax they are $1.50 each, but like Longs - they carry only Ventura County Star with it's crappy coupons. its worth it on p&g weeks.. but otherwise no.

asking family is a no go - everyone lives 2 hours away (we moved here for dh's job). asking people in our apartment complex is a no go. no one subscribes to the sunday papers anymore. to be honest, i think they've figured out how to raid the recycling bin for my stripped sunday papers every week so they don't have to pay. nod

hmm.. i wonder if it'd be legal to resell the stripped papers for say.. $.50 or something? at least i'd be recouperating something. laugh out loud

So OT but I need Microsoft Excel help!!! We have a paper for work that lists all the patients. Like a chart type thing. At the bottom, it adds the #s and puts like 8 (if we have 8 pts). So when you delete a name, the formula automatically adjusts that to 7 and when we add someone, it adjusts it to 9. The formula got erased and I cant figure out what it is. So I need the formula for Excel that would automatically adjust things to the right # of pts.

Ok, I feel like sometimes all I do is b*tch, but I just need to vent. I freakin hate the morons I work with. I'm the scheduling manager, and these stupid f*cks do not get the concept that it is not MY fault if they don't request off for the correct days. It's a simple concept, if you need saturday off, request saturday off, not sunday!!!

Does anyone else have to deal with this stupid crap?? How do you handle it? They have all decided they don't want to work Sundays.. uhm then get a job that doesn't require it!!

Sorry, I'm done.

Shoot, I entered it but that isnt working Frown I think there was some part that said countIF A then something.. crap... guess I will just play around with it!

Oh gosh, I got it! I dont think its the same as it was before but it does the job, thank you!!

=COUNTIF(A10:A31, ">3*") The rows 10-31 are the only ones we put patients names in. So I changed that and for some reason, when I added the >3* part made it start counting them.. so I think I got it! Thanks for the help dpags

I sent out a bunch of envelopes yesterday--hope ya'll get them soon. Enjoy!

Went to T today--good results. Found grocery cl. starburst packs for 16 cents, also cake mixes, salsa, rice mixes. All the patio stuff was 75% off, they already had a bunch of the school stuff out.

the $.25 for charmin, tide, dawn and such i tend to use at cvs, where i very rarely get overage so every little bit helps to keep that oop as low as possible. they do seem puny, but one time i used 6 - 8 of them in the same transaction for a savings of $1.50 - $2 just in $.25 coupons. those babies do add up and i have found that cvs is the best place to use them. nod

(and keep in mind, these are all just 'kosher' deals here)
It's so weird that some get .25 charmin/bounty and we get $1. It just doesn't make sense
