Met Jen2882 today (again)! She stopped by my work on Thursday to pick up a few toys I had for her but we didn't get to shop. We spent 5 hours Targeting and hanging out! Didn't even realize what time it was until the cashier said the store would be closing lol!

She is tons of fun! We got her lots of good stuff to take back home! Hope she had tons of fun!

I need some advice on returns. I did a run today that was pretty good but the guy missed $14 in coupons and somehow my raincheck for the wipes didn't take. So about $16 total missed. I don't do a lot of returns and I don't like to, but this guy was shady about the coupons and when I asked him to double and triple check that the rc worked and that certain coupons went through, he "promised" me that they had. I was in a hurry or I would have taken care of it before I left, although I didn't really check til I got out to the car.

Anyway, he missed the recently expired $5/$50, the $4 fur fighter Target coupon and the $5 barbie/hot wheels peelie for the barbie jump rope. Only thing is, I bought a lot of groceries with my overages and I don't want to return those as I know they would salvage them. The only non grocery items I got were the diapers and wipes, fur fighter refills, barbie jump rope, 5 durex, 3 ($1.04) carefree panty liners and 3 buddies soap. I don't *need* any of these but is it weird to return any of these? I was thinking maybe just return the fur fighter and the jump rope??? Then I'm not out quite as much but I'm still po'd that I lost out on one of my barbie/hot wheels peelies and the overage it should have brought. So my question is - what would you guys do?? If he had said anything about the exp $5/$50, I wouldn't have had any issues with them not taking it and if he had said anything about the fur fighter, I would have just taken it off. But I'm just getting super fed up with cashiers missing so many coupons.
IMO...slather it with icing and eat it like it was the best cake on earth nod....but that is just me...
Things have changed in a matter of days..if you dont want it ..dont buy it..dont need it dont buy it...if ya dont want to pay for it..dont buy it...these coupon deals are not gonna pay you 100% of the time anymore...its sad..its horrific...its life...Find a way to adjust and move onto the next 75%-90% off run...Cool

I had a awful run tonite. And then I come home to read about Oranges and everyone else having problems.... EEK!
Cashier who was previously very coupon friendly studied every coupon. Never had such a ordeal at this store before. Post It MQ wouldn't scan, she flipped on the light of death. GSTL comes over starts checking expiration dates.... gives me back alot of coupons, saying, this one is exp, this one you didn't buy 2, ect ect.... I ended up only buying what I HAD to have and still paid $60+!!! That hurt so bad!! And the guy behind me in line was SO RUDE!
Do you think someone from Target is the one Mod Alerting all the posts so they are removed? Okay maybe I'm just getting a little paranoid.
But that still doesn't mean they're not after me Paperbag

So glad the two of you had so much shopping time and fun... So how long is your waiting list to go shopping with you? laugh out loud
I used to come to Lindenhurst, Ill once a year for a big fundraiser for Chicago's children hospital... friends of mine put it on. They stepped down last year, so I don't go as often now... Oh well, we can live through everyone else that gets a chance to shop with you and your great posts.

Not Target related... need a few prayers sent our way... My Son in Law is not doing as well as hoped at the moment.

As some of you know he was diagnosed with myeloid leukemia in Jan. he had a bone marrow transplant at the end of April. Things were looking pretty good, but the last week or so he has had tremendous pain again as well as vomit .

Last night he stayed over at my house as it was my granddaughters bday (his daughter) and he woke me up with crying from pain early yesterday morning.

His morophine is not even touching the pain he said... so he started taking alot of Advil and went for his weekly blood tests and they kept him at the hospital as they said there was something abnormal showing up to do with his kidneys... Found out that he is not supposed to be taking any advil so they had to flush his system to try and get it out.

He is someone that knows his body well, and he keeps saying that he thinks the transplant didn't work.. He does have a little hope that it may be pain from the side effects of chemo, or scar tissue which they said could happen... Maybe arthritis? Hoping it is one of those... but because he is so aware of his body and knows something is not right... We are all very worried.

He has an appt. for a bone scan and a biopsy on Aug. 8th and that should tell him if the transplant did or didn't work and find out if that's what is causing the pain... or if it is from something else.

He is 31 and has an 8 yr old daughter - his name is Dave..

We also have my ex (childrens dad) that is not doing well... He only has 10% of his heart working now (had a massive heart attack and stroke 2 yrs ago on Christmas morning and was down for 20 mins. so he has major brain damage) he is sleeping most of the time now, and can no longer eat any solids... he just has no energy to chew or swallow the doctors said.

He remembers things from 20+ yrs ago, but doesn't remember anything from about 1985 or so.. He still thinks he's married to me and we've been divorced 26 yrs. He remembers his kids (which is good) but doesn't remember that they visit him in the care home he's in.

His quality of life is poor and I hate to see him like that (even though he is my ex.) but for the kids it's still there dad.
Even though my kids are grown adults now, I'm trying to prepare them for his passing, since they are not giving any form of life saving measures, which includes not putting him on an IV for feeding. So I don't think it will take long if he's not eating anymore.

They understand that he has no quality of life, but it's still there dad. His name is Budd.

So between my SIL and my ex, they kids are going through alot of stress right now. My kids name's are Janet and Jodi.

If you could include them and say a prayer for them, I know they would appreciate it and so would I. You can tell I'm a little worried.. It's 4:41am and I can't sleep.

Thank you all... hug

Sorry to hear about your family. Anyway they can do a bone scan or PET scan to see if there is anthing showing up, any sooner? Maybe his Dr can push for an earlier appt. I will be thinking of you.

Oh and that reminds me, I have a kit to be screened for a bone marrow candidate. There was a link on another message board where there was a drive to get it done with no cost, so I need to send mine in.

Sounds like a bunch of 'tards running Target stores that don't know how to read memos correctly.
Hopefully we don't have any SD'ers with mentally challenged children. This is extremely offensive. Mad

I'm sorry, I don't call mentally challenged children 'tards or retarded. I'm not trying to be offensive.
