Also has anyone else noticed that the Target Chit Chat thread has become a mini Target Deals thread? I haven't really posted in the deals thread for awhile... too much MA'ing and fighting/people thinking they are way better than everyone else that was here first.[/QUOTE]

does someones kid here suffer from constipation...if yes what do you generally do for that..my dd started having troubles going potty when we switched to whole milk...our ped advised to keep her on milk of magnesia and as she grows older it will be easy for her....i give her the reqd dose daily and some days she doesnt have a BM...if she skips 1 day then next day she will be crying while trying to go, will not eat anything etc etc...and then i have to resort to using a suppository..i hate doing that..it hurts me to see her in pain...i try giving her food which have fiber, juice, avoid foods that constipate...god she loves bananas and i have stopped buying bananas....she didnt have a BM for the past 2 days, she had one this evening and she was so happy after that...is there anything else i can do to ensure she has BM regularly.....

This was no slam to "newbies" if you look at my join date you'll see that I joined in March and only started couponing in January. This was directed at one or two newer people who have come to the thread and started bashing others and causing problems. 99.9% of the newer people are fine and help out when they can. I have read many of your posts and find a lot of them helpful don't be afraid to post in the big thread.

Stop the milk. Try soy milk or Rice milk. Hope she feels better.

My little man was awful for the longest time figuring out his potties -- I started giving him a bottle with 50/50 prune juice and water every morning. It straightened his system out within a week - if I noticed the poops were getting runnier, I'd add a little less juice and a little more water. Hope this helps - it's a horrible feeling when our kids are hurting and we can't fix it!

My pediatrician told me to do the prune juice trick for a couple weeks at a time. It worked, and I gradually weaned to just a splash of juice in his bottle with mostly water. As he got older, his system got more regular, and we were able to discontinue it altogether.

Maybe Goats milk, it is sweeter and closer to your milk than cows milk, and has more nutrients than soy. Also apple sauce, and yogurt, are good for digestion, you can replace milk with yougurt, and give diluted juice, no cheese, and mix a spoonful of applesauce into anything with a consistancy that will take it easily.

Oh that is an issue around here too. My Ped suggested Miralax (OTC medicine) to help keep him regular. You have to get the dose from the Ped for age under 2, my guy is on the bigger side so he took a bigger dose. We havent had to use it in awhile.

Just thought this would be fun and a cool thing to do. TIA

Any time I notice that any of my kids couldn't go I would give them a cup (or bottle) of apple juice. I know some kids it doesn't affect them, but my oldest is 7 and still cant have apple juice without getting the poops. And I've actually had a nurse tell me apple juice will constipate you?!?!

my dd didnt like the prune juice so i give her apple juice...not much of a difference...i have heard contradicting reports about apple juice causing contipation/laxative...not sure what it does...
