He is home now, has to go back in on Monday. He is nowhere close to stable but the inpatient wasn't necessary as we can monitor him here. We are also calling the doctor every day to give them the results. He is officially a Type 1 diabetic.

We have sticker shock at picking up our first bag of supplies, nearly $400 for the first month at CVS. We are going to switch to mail order but needed some stuff right away.
If anyone has the one touch ultra mini around from the last months CVS deal, I'll be trading just about anything from my piles for the strips and the insulin coupon inside the package. EDIT-I just bought a couple from CVS and opened them. They have no strips in the pack nor the coupon. I think the one the hospital gave us is a special one. I am bummed. Was seriously hoping to get some from my SD'er friends. We are screwed but thanks anyway everyone as I know I would have had a pile. There are lancets in there but not enough for anyone to waste their potential donation or ebay over.
OK I have to go hang with him now and go back to CVS due to a syringe mixup. Will try to post again on Monday.
But for all you moms, always follow your maternal instinct. I knew something was wrong, hubby thought it was nothing but eating issues. If we wouldn't have called when we did, he would have crashed within the next couple of weeks. We are lucky we found out before that.

As for the size 4 Easy Ups...I know Target doesn't even exchange without a receipt, but yuo should be able to even exchange them at Hellyworld. They won't lose anything since they will just put the size 4's out to sell. Just a thought....

Thanks for all the well wishes, I responded to a few PM's before, no way I can get to them all right now. Must concentrate on the kiddo and making sure we figure out how to do everything. And drawing a map on how to pay the hospital bill and for all these supplies. May have to stop donating stuff and start selling.
