~ Double- The monitor is "Free" today at CVS. Really wish you could use it. PM me if you would like for me to get it and maybe you can return it somewhere or exchange for strips...

I know there has to be some way I can help here... hug I don't have a CVS, but obviously do get coupons, etc etc. Can the strips be purchased at T? I have a few GC left from the diaper deal that I would love to send if they can be gotten there.

Double, you have helped me and so many others save so much money for our families - just please let us know if there are certain coupons you want, or what else we can do to help. I had gestational diabetes with DS and I remember that the cost of insulin and supplies was shocking, even with insurance.

I am Pray for you and your little guy!

Ahh the beauty of a morning nap. Figured I'd check for printable CVS coupons and chat and see a whole page about my kid. You guys are so sweet.

OK to answer some ?'s, we do have insurance but our deductible is ridiculously high. I incurred a lot of expenses for my pregnancy delivery and we were trying to cut back this year to make up some of it so we picked the lowest cost health plan. It's $8000. Yes, we are screwed and that's why we had to pay full price at pharmacy yesterday for the supplies.

Ladies-you are all so sweet to offer to help, not sure what can be done. We could use a couple of extra monitors for the cars, diaper bag, grandma, etc but I can pick those up myself this week at CVS. I thought strips would come in the monitors but the two I opened don't have any. Not sure if that's normal. I'm going to price out the other supplies when I can get to Target and see what's feasible to include in overages if anything.

If there was a jedi that would take the $20 one touch monitor coupon from todays paper for the smaller box of strips, now that would be amazing. But I'm doubting it. It's a large coupon so would probably need GSTL intervention. But I'm going to see if there are smaller boxes of strips there and try it. Won't be worth it on the bigger ones as I'm sure those will be behind the RX counter.

I may get out later to get more papers but not sure. His levels are still high, I need to make sure he keeps to schedule today and hubby's not so great with that. He's fantastic with the needles, I'm good with the schedule. If we can stop fighting, we'd probably be a good team.

If I can't get out later, and you guys have some extra one touch coupons from todays paper, I'll take them. When you register the monitor you get free lancets. Funny enough the lancets were the cheapest item but hey, free is free. The insulin is RX only so can't do anything about that. The syringes were more pricey than I thought and they had to special order them. Once again, not an OTC item so nothing we can do. The alcohol wipes I have not priced yet, the hospital gave me enough for a week. It's the strips, lancets, alcohol wipes and food I can try to work on getting lower. I'm not sure if the ketone testing is OTC or not or the emergency stuff which we need to get another set of. Will have to do a run and check.
Went to make one of his favorites yesterday and we realized the free applesauce from a while ago is original, not natural. Well I guess DH and I will be eating applesauce for a long time.

And I do have mail order but that scares me as it's a huge amount of OOP at once. I want to see what costs I can bring down first and then order the insulin and syringes through mail order so it's not nearly as scary. We don't qualify for the state plan, I looked it up yesterday. We are going to talk to the hospital tomorrow as well and see what they can do to help us get through the first couple of months, even a few extra boxes of strips will go a long way.

OK enough about that. I will try to read through some of my PM"s while he's sleeping. It's raining here and DH is working outside so I can't run errands like I was planning right now. We just wrote up a schedule of blood/insulin/food/timing etc that we hope will help us so we don't screw up again today. Oh right, yesterday we screwed up bigtime. Lucky we go back tomorrow so we can clarify a few things.

Nice to have support, thanks for all the well wishes ladies. You are all such a great support group.

Oh Trang or Mamaro-- or good WAGS person. They have the one touch ultra mini listed for 14.99 this week. Will the $20 coupon work there without beeping and I'd get $5 overage? I've never gone there for a deal but looked at their flyer today to branch out a little and saw that. That would be great if I could do 3 at a time and get some supplies like the cotton and stuff with it. Could you PM me if you think this will work? I should be able to check online around 6:30'sh and if it will, I can attempt to run out after I put him to sleep. No idea what will happen when we go back tomorrow.

This is chat...You can talk about anything you want! laugh out loud

My daughter (4) hates this toothpaste too. Have you tasted it? It is minty and kind of strong for little ones. Try the Colgate for kids in the stand up tube. It's not as strong or as minty tasting. We have the Bratz one right now and it's bubblegum flavor. I don't think the Oral B for kids is as strong either.

Is there a reason you are instant on fluoride toothpaste? I personally use Tom's of Main kids strawberry toothpaste for both my girls ages 3 and 7. They both love this toothpaste.

thanks a lot, for ur advices.. maybe i will try the bratz one, and see how shes doing.. my daughter has some brown dots on her front teeth.. so i switched to flouride tothpaste , to prevent further cavities frm developing.. my son has a lot of cavity problems too.. my dentist says it could be in their genes.. some kids are more susceptible to cavities than the others....so , i have to be extra careful now, she flosses and uses listerine smart rinse too..

Oh, and I haven't been on for a few days, seriously fighting a computer addiction, so I am on only 2-3 days a week vs the everyday all day from before my trip.

Double sided so glad you figured out what was wrong with your son and will pray you find a financial solution to the supplies you need!

Thanks wherever posted about the borders q here, I used it this morning and spent $47 but saved $80 and got free shipping this saves me gasBig Grin, ordered all the Life of Faith books that we don't already have for 1.99- 2.99 after the q, YAY these books are normally only found at the christian book store in my area for 9.99-12.99. Plus some American Girl books that have been hard to find in the store. Again YAY.

Will try to get to Target tonight or tomorrow. I'm not adding my Ca savings at Target to my total because I donating all the items I got free to my mom and SIL. I didn't bring any of it home with me. Did hit the kids clearance clothes and did pretty good.

Brought a Ragdoll Kitten home with me from a breeder in Ca, went to Petsmart yesterday and spent a huge amoutn, but did find a MIR for my cat food, so will get that for free, plus got a coupon for $4 off that I will use on my next trip, forgot my $8 off coupon, or at least couldn't locate it while in the store, don't you hate when that happens!

I just double checked and the Toms of Main IS a floride toothpaste, I double checked because that is not my reason for buying it, I buy it because it does not have sacchrine in it.

Hi I just wanted to add that my 2, 4, and 7 year olds use the Aquafresh kids bubble mint flavored. Its not minty at all. Tastes like bubblegum. And it does have flouride in it. HTH

Thanks, she is gorgeous, She is blue pointed. We own her uncle as well he is two and I am not sure what his coloring is called, but he is brown/beige with the mask around his eyes and kinda the reverse of the siamese coloring. both with long super super soft coats.
I got talked into a new kitten, but insisted that we get another ragdoll, they are both just the most awesome personallities, and my Poms just accepted her right away.

So I bought Science Diet Natuarls kitten for here, and could not believe my luck getting the MIR plus a q for a free Science diet pouch, and a $4 off q, plus the $8 off q from SD. I will switch her to the Purina One I use on my older cat once she is off kitten food.

I have to say, I tottally HATE the Tidy Cats litter now that I have two cats, will go back the Arm And Hammer I used last time I had more than one cat!

Post some pics if/when you can - would love to see the lil one Smilie

I have a (naughty) older cat and my b/f has 2 younger ones - it's gonna be interesting to see how they get along in a few weeks!

We use a combination of Scoop Away and World's Best Cat litter. [worldsbestcatlitter.com] It is made from corn kernels. Scoop Away is too dusty for us and the corn litter doesn't cover the smells enough. Together they work out really nice though. The corn litter has a rewards program too - send in UPCs and they send you back coupons. Thinking of trying the pine litter just to see if it's better/more cost efficient (I really hate the clay stuff). I got one of the free Breeze systems and my cat seemed to use it enough - but not sure if it would get too pricey.
