It's tough work, especially for volunteers because you don't have shifts, you're basically always on. That's how I met my husband though. I wouldn't trade anything for the year and a half I did it before having the baby. He still does EMT work on the side. I'm going to renew my license and hopefully get back to it when the baby is school age.
As first responders you guys see alot. Really don't think I could handle some of the things I've heard my nephew tell. I gotta say though, the fireman are such a close group, it's amazing. and you don't see that in every occupation.

Oh and it's really dirty... it's clean lookingish - but I'm a dirtophobe laugh out loud
When I used to move all the time, I'd clean the new places top to bottom, as if wiping away all the peeps who used to live there. Wouldn't know it from the dust bunnies under my bed right now. I really need to fix my roomba.

Too tired to hit Target tonight. Hung out with DH for a bit trying to figure out what we're doing wrong with DS. I may mix things up a bit tomorrow with food timing and see if that helps. I'm just at a loss. I will definitely be going tomorrow when DS naps and hope that my jedi is there to finish up pampers deal. Well, I'd be finished after just one run if someone named TRANG didn't send me a bunch of pampers coupons that expired yesterday. So now I put together 2 pampers runs for tomorrow.

Here's an idea for the goodnites peelies---you think we can use the pampers raincheck on the goodnites??? That would lower OOP cost

K- Now I feel like like a total moron! LOL I didn't even think to look in the Wiki and usually I try to be so good about that! I did a search (which didn't take me to the Wiki funnily enough!) Anyway - thank you so much!! I really try not to do that!

Ummm, that might be one of those YMMV things because I believe tha Goodnights are Huggies rather than Pampers & therefore if your cashier is reading the raincheck it might not work???

Agreed but the raincheck states pick a substitute and if they don't have pampers easy ups in stock-----this could work for us people

OK I'm going to bed early. Will check in after my run tomorrow. I usually spend weekends playing with DS

I just have to say that I'm so sad that the fur fighters deal is over... they were a nice overage item, but I also really heart them - they actually work really well!!!

Anyway, if anyone out there has just been buying them for overage and doesn't have anything to do with them, I'd love to work out a trade... I'm happy to send you all my durex and durex play Wink

Big Grin
I have some you can have, but I surely don't need the Durex! Three Target bags full are enough! LMAO

DH doc is treating for Lyme since he will most likely get it now so we have to pick up an RX tomorrow. Again. Lucky for me, one of my magic coupon envies today had a Target RX coupon in there. Bringing it to CVS tomorrow!
hug It's good the doc is treating for Lymes, but he might not get it. How long was the tick in and how far?

Yes thats the one! My DS loves it too! I was so excited to see it there. Did you know there is a Day Out with Thomas event going on in a lot of cities every summer? My neighbor told me about it, and we are going in 2 weeks! The kids get to ride a real Thomas train, take pictures with Sir Toppam Hatt, and much more. I am so excited. You can see all the cities it goes to here: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=169039&t=867954&highlight=a+day+out+with+thomas
Yes!! We've gone the past 2 years. We missed it this year in June (when we normally go), but they are back again in September so we will probably go then. The kids LOVED that too!! Plus there are so many other things for them to do there. They rode a couple other little trains and a caboose! Your kids will absolutely love it!! Have fun and don't forget the camera!!

edited to add: there's also a big tent with train tables set up for them to play, a little track they can ride the hand cars around, tatoos, and of course a big tent with all Thomas stuff to buy! The kids were just talking about that the other day. DS said he wants to go back to get another Thomas toothbrush that plays music for he amount of time you're supposed to brush your teeth. laugh out loud

I am so excited to go in 2 weeks. I have heard great things, and I will definitely bring the camera and video recorder! woot

They have the Thomas toothpaste at CVS. Also, I bought the Thomas toothbrush that plays music at Jewel-Osco, which is a division of Albertsons. I think it was about $3.99 or $2.99. HTH

I have also gotten some great deals on Thomas at this site. They are having their final sale!

It's going around here too Ariel. I spoke with DS doc today on the weekend doses and mentioned he's been coughing, sneezing and off. And I woke up this morning with my throat killin me and achy. She says that we probably got it when we were in their office Mon and she apologizes but everyone there has had it within past couple of weeks. Great, thanks for warning

DH doc is treating for Lyme since he will most likely get it now so we have to pick up an RX tomorrow. Again. Lucky for me, one of my magic coupon envies today had a Target RX coupon in there. Bringing it to CVS tomorrow!
I am sorry about your hubby! Doesn't he know that it is your ds time and he needs to stay healthy right now laugh out loud What bad timing! hug

I called the dr tonight about Soph, she developed pustules on the back of her throat and her tongue and was started getting fussier. They think it is hand, foot & mouth disease, so nit a huge deal. Just have to give extra TLC and watch for increased pain, dehydration or vomiting. So I will nurse my babe back to health all while being sick myself Wink Isn't that the way we momma's always do it laugh out loud

Anyway, had a badish run tonight, noticed the 1 day expired Q's and wouldn't let them thru Mad I abandoned all but the 75% off toys and paid with NO Q's Faint I haven't done that in FOREVER!!! I just didn't want the toys to get away from me though. One was a Hasbro Tonka Construction Role Play Kit [amazon.com] Very cute and well worth the $3.74 I paid for it. Also got a Fisher Price Brilliant Basics Babys Baseball [amazon.com] for $2.98. These toys should make some little kid happy at xmas time right bounce For Soph I found this V.Smile TV Learning System [amazon.com] for $12.98 and a blue clues game to go with it for $5.72. I figure I can save this stuff until she is closer to 3 years old to give her, though I haven't researched this toy yet and it may still go back. I just didn't want to miss out when it was 75% off if it was something I would really want later, kwim.
