Doc office said no way to switching meters right now but we could try others later on when he's OK but it shouldn't be impacting his numbers at all. So we'll probably stick with one touch for now and try the freestyle when the free one comes in.
They also said get through another day and half. If not better, they'll try to find a slot to bring him & switch insulin. Apparently timing is hard with vacations. WTF, it's my kid you big fat dumwits.
Oh and wanted to chime in on the Perfect10, seriously love this stuff, it is quick and doesnt smell and makes my hair really shiny and bright. I need to do a touch up soon, just had my hair cut, and want that look new feeling all over
So agree on the P10. I was so glad to see they are finally making my color.
He won't eat cheese or meat unless it's mashed into something. And you can't mash into anything that's not carbs. Unless you can think of something. I am going to hit Target later to get some popsicle maker type things so he can have crystal light pops. We were told no popcorn, because of the choking hazard.

Don't know if this would fool a picky child-- and I don't know ANYthing about diabetes-- but mashed cauliflower can make a pretty good substitute for mashed potatoes. Might still be too starchy for him, I don't know.

Double....didn't realize you were an EMT...that is so COOL!!! I always wanted to be a FF and when I was younger my Dad wouldn't let me because he said it was too dangerous...so now just all the guys in my family are FF's. My brother is even a paramedic. Also, sheesh...it seems like you have this perpetual dark cloud hanging over your house lately....sorry to hear about DH and his tick and your DS Still having high sugars!!! Here's to sunny skies ahead!!!

Double....didn't realize you were an EMT...that is so COOL!!!
