I'm almost not sad I didn't buy any of these...I don't know how people use pads, they drive me crazy!
I was wondering the same thing. I tried them once when I was 14 and never again! And mamatwins I love the Tampax Pearl line of tampons.

so which brand do you recommend..i have never used a tampon, pad person but wanna try it out to see the diff...

I like ob the best. It takes a little to figure out the trick of getting them in without an applicator, but they have the thinnest string so you can't feel them once they're in. Steer clear of Tampax IMHO Smilie

Tampax Pearls are the best I think. Not uncomfortable at all. I agree about the pads. I gave mine to my neice who is 12 since I have all boys here.

I would stay clear of the cardboard applicators too. Not at all comfortable going in and I find they are even more uncomfortable while in. I have tried the Tampax Pearl Compact, but those were kinda funky too.

OB arent bad either. Im not real big on the whole non applicator thing though. I would rather have an applicator to go there then my own finger at that time of the month.

I think those are the best to start with for sure.

Well I've used both and hated the diaper feeling of the huge pads but lately for some reason (well before I went and got knocked up) aunt flow had been a trickle. Tampons were not an option and the super thin pads, one step above liners, worked fine.

Ok here's a funny story about how I found out about ob. I was probably 15 or 16 and on an out of town trip with some of my friends and I got a visit from my dear aunt flow while we were up there. My friends mom gave me an ob to use while we went to the store to get some goods. OMG! I just about died. I couldn't believe that they actually made tampons without applicators. So I am pretty much scarred for life from that.
