Toys: we have too many. The kids only have books in their rooms and we have a loft upstairs that is just their toy room. There is one toy chest in the family room and that's it.
The loft is nice, but gives me minor chest pain every time I walk by it. But yet I keep buying toys.
Sorry its gone!
Do I get any sympathy because I have a teenager and a toddler????
i definitely agree about the dirty toilet thing. I'm blaming it on the town water or more realistically certain members of the household forgeting to flush!
as to wishing i was single and no kids. i have been wishing i was single alot lately, because my DH had emergency surgery on friday for a hernia and is now stuck home for 6- 8 weeks. he is being a MAJOR PITA! whining about his cuts yet i was back on my feet doing everything in the house and driving within 4 days of having a c section.
i wouldn't trade my kids for anything at all but there are many days i feel more like a combination warden/police officer/ referree. When is summer vacation over again??? Someone tell me September starts tomorrow
i told dh he owed me big for that one.
yes, the toothbrush was an old one i was about to throw away while cleaning the rest of the bathroom. and yes i threw it away after scrubbing the toilet with it.

Hoping I didn't miss more than some mispriced T items, 75% baby items and an "are are" deal

I had 2 T returns in my car and the non coupon T was right there so took care of that. Looked at clearance. Baby is still 50%. There were an endcap of toys and I did find the playdoh caddy. Literally that's all I bought, sad I tell you
Ariel, Stormy, DM-need to know EXACTLY what it says on those cartridges you are looking for. Talk to me like I'm 5
In other news, my KM has cleaned up, I haven't been there in ages, was hoping to get that clearance Little People toy and some hot wheels. No go, none of the right UPC and the LP toy was scanning at $26. Walked out!
I may do a T run later. We'll see what time DH gets back, he went to go downstate to pick up some swingset parts from a lady on CL that's giving them to us for free!
** WARNING: LONG POST ** Skip if you are not interested in the story of the insane Target in North Dallas.
Today I shopped at the Super Target location on Coit Rd. in Dallas, Texas. I was treated like a criminal, mocked, and told flat out I should take my business to another store. The first lady who checked me out appeared to be in charge as she was simultaneously checking me out, talking on the phone and using her walkie-talkie. She had an issue with one of my coupons scanning for more than the limit that appeared on the coupon and immediately began to scrutinize everything. After she refused to take several coupons without explanation due to the fact that she was still talking on the phone and walkie-talkie, I asked her to void my transaction.
I moved over a lane and another lady came to help me sort through and remove the items that corresponded to the coupons she did not want to take. Second transaction begins and the phone rings. After speaking to the person on the other end, my second cashier begins to scrutinize every word of every coupon.
At this point I had been in the store for over 2 hours with a 1 year old and a 2 year old who were now hungry and tired. As I tried to have a polite discussion with them about why they were not accepting the coupons, the second cashier apparently hit the wrong button and voided the entire order. I stopped her to keep her from rescanning everything for a third time. I stated that I was frustrated and disappointed with the customer service and the fact that I was being treated as a criminal even though I was using coupons that were appropriate for the items I was purchasing and Target would get reimbursed for them. There was no apology and my statements were met with complete indifference. When I explained that I didn't understand why their store would be so different from the stores closer to me that I usually shop at, the lady who appeared to be in charge stated, "I'll be glad to call Asset Protection at those stores and inform them of the correct coupon policy." I wasn't sure if she was basically threatening to make security aware of me at those stores or just plain saying that those stores don't know what they're doing.
Finally, I went to the Customer Service desk and placed a call to Guest Relations. During this phone call, various cashiers and Target employees were pointing and talking and just generally mocking me. I was furious!
A lady did approach me who was very sweet and understanding. I actually don't think she was in charge of anything. I think they sent her because I was already so upset with the original lady who checked me out and I think she was the one in charge. The nice lady did apologize and encourage me to purchase at least a few of the items in the Customer Service area so my trip would not be a complete waste.
Once again, the phone rang during the transaction the cashier became very defensive and began picking apart coupons. She would not accept a coupon because it was one cent over the amount of the item, and refused to adjust the coupon even though that is your corporate policy. She went so far as to lie to me and tell me that was not possible in the system. Then she refused the $3 off of $15 coupon from the website!!! She said after the fraudulent $5 off of $25 coupon, they were no longer accepting any Target coupons. I even showed them the email I had received with a copy of Target's coupon policy clarified after the fraudulent coupon.
By this time, a girl who was apparently Asset Protection - although she wasn't even dressed as a Target employee, she was wearing a purple t-shirt and khaki pants - came over and said I was wrong, I didn't know what I was talking about and it didnt matter what the coupon policy said, they were not taking my coupons. When I reiterated to her that I didn't understand what the issue was since the stores near me take all of the same coupons, she said, "Well, sounds like you would be better off shopping at those stores then!" She then told everyone to back away from me as if I was going to explode or something.
So for any of you in this area, beware of this store! There was some decent clearance, but coupons are going to be scrutinized to a ridiculous level. In fact, it isn't worth it to me if I can't use coupons.
