Ok after all that my BBF calls and says (her babysitter is the grandchild of the lady that owend our house) that her grandfather would strip and restain the cabinets ever summer
I have done home projects before and loved them but this was and is just wild.
So I wish you much much lucky and happy staining.
So yes, we painted, then stained also. The look we're trying to go for is that stained look that looks like it is in all the trim and edges looking kind of old. Not realling describing it!!
The other difference is that our cabinets are the original that have never been painted. The original owner's grandson sold us the house. No one else has ever lived here. In fact, no kids have lived here until my 10 year old!! That's absolutely amazing!! Now for the waxing who knows because these people were like super rich in the day to have this one custom built. And she kept this house like a showhouse all the time. Everything here was super expensive and custom, yet for 1965 standards!! My mom about fell over when she heard we were going to gut some things....I was like yeah it looks like 1965 and it's 2008!! Of course we are going to tear this sucker apart!! Little by little of course!!
I saw a playground ball at T for $5.99 that was pink and I thought it might have been barbie. Anyone see this? Thought it would go good with the peelie.

Hubby and doing house projects....need I say more.
We are trying to fix the mess of the shelf falling and breaking. It involves moving furniture, spackling, sanding, painting, hanging a new shelf. Resetting up all the electronics- the TV, Cd player and Dvd player. Go to move the furniture back, and fish tank breaks, and does the dresser. So tomorrow I have to, glue the dresser back together, move fishy fishy to her new tank, finish the electronics, find new places for stuff that was on prev shelves that there is not any room foor, fix other dresser (these are ikea dressers, and drawer fronts keep popping off, hence needing to glue them).
I am sure there is more I need to do, just my head hurts . My older son isnt home so we have been trading off working in his room and watching him, so its taking forever.
My head hurts, and there is not nearly enough chocolate in my house. I also want something good to drink, and I am a non drinker usually, its just been that kind of day,
Going to catch up on the threads, unless I go to jail for killing him or maiming him, we do npt work well together. Calgon (or the police) take me away
Doublesided - there were packages of freestyle 50 strips clearanced at my store..28.99..let me know if you can use them..
on Monday i found some crayola outdoor stuff on clearance with red stickers..today the same items were in the regular aisles with full price...how can they do that....

And 2 big envies were expected but didn't show. Can't imagining what I will do with those Qs when they come on Monday.
1st stop: Target (spent 10 minutes in the car putting the newly received Qs in the folder.)

2nd stop: Meijer- (9) crest transactions (6 Qs each) = overage $40+
- (2) transactions of Powerade (buy 10, get free 24-pk Dasani + buy $10 Coke products, get $10 off athletic shoes (many were 40% off or clearanced) = each transaction OOP $2 + free 24-pk water + free/cheap tennis shoes
- (2) transactions of Keebler products (buy $10, get $10 off backpacks) - used school bus Qs = $0 OOP + free/cheap backpacks
- (2) transactions of Nabisco products (buy $10, get $10 off Hanes socks) - used $1 peelies = $0 OOP + 3 FREE bags of socks
3rd stop: CVSThen, I had to be home in time for a wedding reception. I could have gone shopping ALL DAY, b/c I still had more Target, Kmart, Walmart & many WAGs on my list.

I'm too tired to catch up on posts. Wanted to go to far away T but DS wasn't cooperating tonight so had to stay here later and go to closer one that I'm bored with. No good cashiers, just did some random stuff. I didn't make a list as I didn't know which one I was going to so I was wandering. Hate when I do that. No play doh, the blue toys were all priced as marked at regular price, nothing exciting at all EXCEPT an entire endcap of size 6 pampers bulk at 50%. I didn't bring in pampers q's with me but am very tempted to go back tomorrow and get them. We'll see what time DH gets home from work.

Swing Vote.....ummmm. We used the Mamma Mia q's even though I don't think it's a Universal Pictures movie...but it went through just fine. Was an ok move, Kevin Costner is not my all time favorite...but I like Kelsey Grammar...but in the end its a good movie to rent, but not pay to see....
