doublesided - how is your DS doing?
He'd be better with different parents. He was good friday. We messed up insulin yesterday so he was high all day. Today good start to morning then he had late nap so when he woke up I remembered they said we could combine morning snack and lunch if he woke up late. Forgot the part that it had to be at the time of lunch. So lunchtime insulin didn't work and he was frickin high all day and awfully grouchy. We upped his insulin as told at bedtime but I think it's too much as we put him to bed low and now have to check him every 3 hours.

Until we get it right, going to be uphill. And then when we do get it right, he'll have a growth spurt or something and we'll start all over again. I'm pretty sure he'll be stable enough to go to chicago next weekend. Praying as I really need to see a ST to cheer me up.

Best part of day was getting a fedex from accucheck with our trial aviva meter in it. Their trials come with 50 strips and the coolest lancet thingie. We like the lancet thingie so much better than ours we're going to switch to it wen we're eventually out of our lancets. I think the meter is too big though. So far the one touch keeps winning. Haven't received the freestyle one yet, that was another freebie with 10 strips coming.

I know it's not his fault this happened but I feel myself snapping at him so much more. DH is doing the same. It's so damn stressful. OK it's 11 now.

So can we talk about the decodingcoupons issue here? I read the linked post to sd describing how coupons can be "read". But seriously?!?! That same basic info is on dealideal too and probably other sites as well. Unless that poster quoted decodingcoupons verbatim, I just don't get it. Confused
I think some of what was posted was from his site, but not all. But the guy didn't go about it right. All he had to do was ask SD to remove it instead of posting nonsense. It'll work out though.

You only feel that way because you are a good parent. You just don't see that right now. And the snapping part is normal too. At DS and at each other. Give yourself time. I remember having this tiny 1.5 lb baby who was so sick and wondering what in the he** I was going to do...he's 23 now...so stay rested, take time for yourself and your marriage, and take it one day at a time.

Read your books, get away by yourself for awhile...see my avatar...thats my church, my sanctuary. the ocean, it's where I am totally at peace. Find your place and make sure you go there often!!!!!

Trang, I hope you got mine in time to use them, Otherwise, if you have Dollar General stores up there, Crest is 1.00 so you won't get over but you could get even more for free. You'll have bright shiney Big Grin for a long time to come!!!

Tots05 thanks so much for the fuel for school q's!

Frazzled4 thanks for the huge huge envelope of q's. I definitely owe you!

Swing Vote.....ummmm. We used the Mamma Mia q's even though I don't think it's a Universal Pictures movie...but it went through just fine. Was an ok move, Kevin Costner is not my all time favorite...but I like Kelsey Grammar...but in the end its a good movie to rent, but not pay to see....
Teri, I did not do the Crest deal for the TOOTHPASTE! I have enough TP to drywall a house... Meijer PAID me to take those home. They have their 10 for $10 sale all the time, but that was just for FREE TP.

FREE TP is not a motivator anymore. The $40 OVERAGE to take those 60+ tubes of TP was the incentive in this deal.

Don't say that - don't be so hard on yourself - I am sure you guys are doing the best you can with a very new, difficult, and complicated set of circumstances. It has to be very difficult to get it all straight - it sounds like you are working hard to stay on top of things and get all the information to make things work.

We all do the best we can. My son was having some problems with his skin (has had combination allergy, exzema, breathing problems since birth) and I thought his breathing was under control. When we saw the allergist this week (I thought it was for skin only) and when they did a breathing test he was only at 66% capacity for his age/height/weight EEK! Poor guy - we didn't think there was a problem with the breathing just the skin. Frown I felt like a big fat loser - but the allergist was really nice and said kids just get used to a differnet "normal" - I still felt like crap that I didn't know he had a problem. Luckily we have him on some medication that should keep his lungs opened up. I felt like crap for a couple of days since I didn't know he had a problem, but remembered that the allergist even complimented how on top of his skin problems we were and not to be hard on ourselves about the breathing.

Hang in there hug

Trang, I know this. If you run out of toothpaste for drywalling, you could always grout your bathroom with it, plug nail holes in the wall, polish your silver or put food coloring in it and let your kids use it as finger paint!

The best part about my deal work?

I DONATED these to the religious celebration event this weekend:
  • (15) cases of 24-pack Dasani
  • (22) cases of 12-pack of Coke & Pepsi products

They selling each bottle/can for $1 as a fundraiser.

TOTAL of $624 if they sell all of those.

My OOP = less than $50 (including 10 can refund) on soda & $0 on Dasani

Where did you find the peelies to go with the Nabisco/Hanes deal?
I found them on the Oreo packages. Not all of them, just a few front packages. They are "$1 off Milk wyb of Nabisco item." The peelie is a shape of a house.

Sam, you are being too hard on yourself. Don't blame yourself for things that are out of your control.

You have done alot already, by researching everything about this problem. It's overwhelming to deal with what has happened and it will take time to adjust. You are a strong person and you do have a support system on this thread.

Keep your chin up and have positive thoughts!

Oh and if I didn't already think dh was a moron sometimes, last night confirmed it. I specifically asked him if his friend was going to be ok to drive him home, he said oh yea of course. He was not (duh) so dh stayed the night at the groom's house with his friend. Which is fine, except he didn't call to tell me!! Imagine how pissed I was when he came strolling in at 11:00 this morning with his leftover's from their going out to breakfast. He assumed I was pissed b/c he stayed out all night drinking with friends. I said uhm no, i'm pissed you didn't call! He said well you can't stay mad at me forever...I said hmm how about I stay mad for as long as you didn't call...so you've got about 12 hours of me being mad to deal with!
Why is it men don't think twice about doing something like this and think we are the biatch for getting mad? But God forbid we stay out all night without calling...they'd serve our heads on a platter!!!
Quote from sbhiggins :
laugh out loud, this totally reminded me of the time my DH went to check out a living room set from Craig's list at this guy's house.

So he's an HOUR late coming home. No phone call. And we had dinner plans that night.

Apparently these people were so cool and they just got to talking and. . . . so on.

I'm like, so you go over to some stranger's house whom you met on the INTERNET and don't show up and don't call. . . .what if I had done that???

His response was something along the lines of b/c he's a man there's no way anything bad could ever happen to him. Like if the guy had had a gun, clearly the Y chromosome would have saved him from danger. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

OK, started out of the house later than planned today. Went to my mailbox on the way to the stores. GOT 6 envies from trades!!!! THANK YOU, everyone who helped out with my Crest Qs. I ended up over 60 Qs!!!! EEK! I will repped everyone once I am able again.

And 2 big envies were expected but didn't show. Can't imagining what I will do with those Qs when they come on Monday.

1st stop: Target (spent 10 minutes in the car putting the newly received Qs in the folder.)
  • 80 Sobe water (yes, T paid me $30 to take these off their shelves!)
2nd stop: Meijer
  • (9) crest transactions (6 Qs each) = overage $40+
  • (2) transactions of Powerade (buy 10, get free 24-pk Dasani + buy $10 Coke products, get $10 off athletic shoes (many were 40% off or clearanced) = each transaction OOP $2 + free 24-pk water + free/cheap tennis shoes Yahoo!
  • (2) transactions of Keebler products (buy $10, get $10 off backpacks) - used school bus Qs = $0 OOP + free/cheap backpacks Dance13
  • (2) transactions of Nabisco products (buy $10, get $10 off Hanes socks) - used $1 peelies = $0 OOP + 3 FREE bags of socks High Five
3rd stop: CVS
  • used up $40 of expired ECBs!!!!

Then, I had to be home in time for a wedding reception. I could have gone shopping ALL DAY, b/c I still had more Target, Kmart, Walmart & many WAGs on my list. Mad Didn't make it at all.

Stupid wedding - no one should get married on my BIG shopping day and RUINED everything. LMAO

I think i need some lessons!! great job! i hope the envie i sent made it to you in time.

I also stocked on the Toothpaste because I paid 4.xx and made a profit each time. Some will go out for my garage sale....my neighbors need fresh breath too. LOL
