This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

So now 9:30 am I get the phone call that was supposed to be let's meet so I can get my dd and go to the water park, and she is on the other end hooping it saying I can go! grrrrrrrr. I'm so irritated. She said her husband last night said to be an informed parent and make sure the water is safe. So she researched it last night and told him this morning. He said I think you should go now. So she has "permission." She said sorry if I frustrated you last night, I was frustrated, too, damn crypto tried to ruin our fun. wth??? No kidding. I wanted to say no dh ~ this isn't the first time, but resisted for now. First I need to get to the waterpark. Maybe we will chat a bit at the park.

So pray that we don't get sick at the waterpark. I'll end up the evil person who took her daughter to the park and made them go, I'm sure. And have my dd banned from their dd.

This is madness, I tell you!!
I had a friend like that I will never forget her and I drove like an hour to get to the Jersey shore. Finally get there and park walk on the beach and her dh calls and says are you coming home yet? wtf we just got here

Hes also the guy whose wife was like 124 lbs and takes her to a plastic surgeon for liposuction..

I hope you have a good time at the waterpark and have funlaugh out loud

Totally off the current topic, but has anyone done a houseparty (houseparty.com) before? If so, can you either post your experience(s) or PM me. I've never done one, but think it could be fun...

On the topic of how you found SD, I used to frequent another board that was mommy focused. Often people would post deals and mention, "taken from SD". After seeing this a few times, I was curious and found my way to SD. I used to just look at the front page, but then I moved to Hot Deals and Freebies. Then I started following the Coupon thread. Finally I found the T thread and now I hardly ever have time to read the other threads (besides T deals and T chit chat). I'm always happy when you guys post things from coupons, freebies, and hot deals on here because I'd miss them otherwise. Smilie I've learned soooo much from everyone on here and also feel like I still have soooo much to learn. That is fun for me, as is the general chit chat, because you are all so nice! hug

us poor little housewives, right?

i do EVERYTHING around the house and with the kids and also do secretary work for our business. but don't get me wrong, i LOVE staying home with my kids so i'm cool with that. but he goes out and does the actual work to earn money, pays the bills, and i can always buy anything i want whenever i want. plus he's sweet and gives me flowers on special occasions Flowers2 occasionally cooks, takes me out, compliments me, all that good stuff... ALSO, during the fall and winter he goes hunting 90% of the weekends so we both get our time off. i guess i've got it pretty good Big Grin

Yes, that would be annoying. What's even more annoying, for me, is when I'm shopping and I call home, to check on how things are going. DH acts like I'm bothering him by caring enough to call and check in. WTF? Frown

I think it would be fun, I've never gotten in on one early enough. Any new ones coming out?

The closest I came was the Spanish Pampers one, but I couldn't get enough answers on their website to finish it up. Probably better, though, as it sounds like there were lots of questions on the tail end of it I would have been really hard pressed to answer! laugh out loud

JOKES of the day!

When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her someplace expensive.... So, I took her to a Gas Station.....

******** ******* ********

After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for Social Security.

The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later.

The woman said, "Unbutton your shirt". So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair. She said, "That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me" and she processed my Social Security application.

When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office. She said, "You should have dropped your pants, you might have got disability, too."

Do they come to your house to help with the party? I've heard people mention that they send coupons and product samples for the party. Is there a minimum number of people you need to invite (I can't imagine having to invite like 20 people over to my house)?

heehee, my dh knows to give me about 2 hours past when I say I'll be home, generally I'll call him to say I'm late, and he will laugh and say I know don't worry about. Its all fair though, I don't get upset when he is late, I just expect a courtesy call to let me know what's going on what the new time frame is.

Ariel,

Does your dh play world of warcraft too? I literally hate these games..And now I have been told that the new antcipated warhammer is being released early on 9-18..I s he going to start that one too?

I hate when im trying to talk to him and he keep checking the computer to make sure no one is beating on him...
