Speaking of olympics, it is KILLING me that the best events are not really starting until sometime after 10:30 est! I've been up until 1-1:30 every night this week watching them because we're too cheap to get dvr and our dvd player does a sucky job of recording things! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Has anyone found an overage opportunity for those great eucerin ip's that were out about a week ago? http://news.eucerin.us/click/view...-VNVEX--BH Either kmart or target overage?

I heart you Bronc!!!
We really need to get together soon and do some slickdeals! Have you tried Kmart yet?
Tomorrow is my first day with students. Everyone wish me luck. The first two weeks with Kindergarteners is extremely mentally draining!

I was so confused. I knew it was the 15th, but just asked DH to make sure. He said "duh, it's payday and your first day of school." I really thought I was losing it.

i should have clarifed...was looking for a vegetarian receipe...u have to start by telling me which pasta i need to buy....we went to olive garden and the kids lovvvved the fettucine alfredo...so looking for something simple, cheesy, vege...
Oh, sorry. I am an almost-veg who eats fish but no other meat.

For veg, I'd just do like another poster suggeted and use a little butter and some good parm. or another hard, grate-able cheese. If your kids like veggies, you can make it a little more healthy by lightly stir-frying some fresh chopped veggies (whatever the kids like) and toss that in there. I like my veggies to be still crunchy, so I just cook them very lightly.

I personally don't care for alfredo (or any cream sauce) as they are too heavy for me. But I LOVE this website: http://www.allrecipe.com And I did a search for fettucine alfredo on there. This one looks easy and good to me:

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Easy...etail.aspx

You can really use ANY kind of pasta with any recipe. The only difference is that some shapes "hold" the sauce or whatever topping you are using better. So, like a corkscrew pasta would "hold" the cheese in the pasta better than some others.

Well I'm out of here, will be back on Mon or Tuesday depending on the kid. We took him in today, his A1C is higher but that's also because he isn't stable yet. His sugars are so high today but he has a cold and a ton of mosquito bites. They reviewed our test results with us from the hospital and unfortunately his thyroid tests came back high. So we have to go in Mon or Tues (they wanted today or tomorrow, I pleaded insanity) and have it redone to confirm. He may have to go for treatment and would be on permanent medication. Let's all pray that he doesn't, the kid has gone through enough. Rough day here. We are finishing up work/packing etc

On the bright side, they gave us a bag full of strips, insulin and supplies to last a couple of months so that's pretty nice!

I hope everyone has happy shopping and will chat with you soon

PS-hope DM's mom is OK, haven't seen her poking in much
DS...Pray his next thyroid test comes back ok. Poor kid.
bounce Yay for the bag full of supplies though. That's a big help!!

I'll let you know about mom tomorrow. She went to the Dr on Tues. He wasn't happy with how it looked. Told her to wash it out with anitbacterial soap and come back on Fri. If it doesn't look any better, he will have to go back in and clean it out more. Pray it looks better to him. It does look better to me, but I'm not a Dr either.

I have just been exhausted lately. LOTS of driving everyday. Taking the kids to a sitter 1/2 hr. away every morning before work and then another 1/2 hr. after work to pick them up in rush hour traffic. Tues. I had to leave the house at 7 am to drive 40 min to pick up mom, get kids to the sitters, and mom to her appt. by 8:15. Them do it all over again after work. It makes for long days! I could never make a long commute everyday. Last night I finally sat down at 9:30, turned on the Olympics and signed into SD. Watched about 15 mins. of volleyball and fell asleep. Next thing I know it's 12:30. laugh out loud Needless to say, I didn't get much read on here. laugh out loud

My kids 6 and 4 have the battery powered Jeep. They LOVE it! DS got it for his 4th b'day. It took a little while for him to learn how to steer it. DD started driving it last summer when she was 3 but it took her almost all summer to learn how to steer. Although, it didn't help that she never watched where she was going. laugh out loud

First PM gets a bunch of coupons I picked up at Dollar General. They are MFQs, but you can easily cut off the half of the coupon that says Dollar General and use them anywhere.

The coupons are for $1 off Pantene, $1 off two Old Spice, and $1 off Herbal Essences. All expire end of August.
I just saw your siggy about making you bold - yeah!!!! Big Grin Very cool! Congrats!

When my son was about 6 months old, my dh (who owns a Harley) decided my son had to have a Harley Davidson Powerwheels ride on. We got it cheap on Craigslist. He is still too young for it now but likes to sit on it sometimes...Oh and stand on the seat...and we had to disconnect the battery because at about 9 months he figured out how to push the pedal and make it go...EEK! Yeah, count me in on those of us with daredevil children.
