Do you think it is wrong or okay for people to take peelies (coupons) off of items in the store when they don't ever buy that item?

The ONLY problem I have with people taking peelies are the people who take entire pads or entire shelves of peelies without giving a few others the opportunity to get some as well. I live in an area where people think nothing of taking entire shelves of peelies, leaving nothing but the goo behind. I just can't do that. I have more than enough Ponds peelies and never took more than half at any given store. (As I break my arm patting myself on the back! LOL!
I voted no but I think it is wrong especially if it would genuinely increase the products sales.
After all, if there's nothing wrong with taking them, you won't get in any trouble, right?
The Ponds company didn't put those peelies on the products hoping to catch random shoppers' eyes in case they might want to see a free movie at their expense. It was a marketing ploy to entice people to buy Ponds products, and the shopper would then be rewarded for their purchase. Stealing the peelies off of the products without purchasing them is exactly that -- stealing. It isn't the value of the item that was stolen, nor the possible consequences if the person is caught stealing them, it's the principal. The Ponds product they stole the peelie from is depriving another shopper who actually did purchase the item the opportunity to see a free movie.
It's the same as putting in one quarter in the Sunday newspaper box and removing 20 newspapers because you want the coupons, or ripping out the pages of a magazine without buying it because there's a free product coupon inside. Plain and simple, it's theft and it says a lot about your character (or lack thereof) if you do it.

I also do not pass judgement on others. But, some people get off on telling others what they consider to be right or wrong. I prefer to clean my own house. The whole point of responding to this thread was the OP was so obsessed with it. It was funny. Some people however, are very intense about little peelies, and suck the fun out the thread. I imagine all those people are perfect in every way. Life is too serious in too many other ways. Lighten up a bit. Seeing as how the OP is no longer around, it's time to move on. I've got peelies to collect

PS: I went and checked out these Ponds peelies while I was at the store and they clearly say "with purchase" on them.
