Do you think it is wrong or okay for people to take peelies (coupons) off of items in the store when they don't ever buy that item?

There seems to be some sort of vendetta over any post that isn't a few words and a smiley. I'm not trying to be obnoxious, it's just my nature to phrase out what I think as elaborately as possible. I'm a bit more liberal with spacing than I should be, but I'm not going to go all "Elements of Style" on slickdeals.

This is a hot topic, so here's your chance. Would you take a peelie coupon from an item and not purchase the item? What about a regular coupon that was inside, but you didn't have to damage or open the item to retrieve it..?
